Two decades ago online banking was not yet available if my memory serves me right but now it makes our life a bit easier especially if we don't have much time to go physically to our financial institution.. Depositing a check or paying bills in just a push of a button. Even sending money or transferring from one account to another.
Also comes in almost the same time is online shopping, very seldom used this method during its infancy as people still prefers to shop physically, see and touch the product/s that they want to buy. Amazon was not making profit for 17 quarters from its initial stock offering. But look at the owner now, the richest man in the whole world.
Now that we are in a new normal due to health crisis, online job and business are on the rise. It was already existent pre-pandemic but it became a new option at this point in time. Just do our due diligence to make sure that what we have is a legitimate one.
Don't know how??

If we put into logic if we are more of a risk taker when we were young and doesn't know how to rationalize that much yet than us now being adult. It can be yes, let's have a scenario.. When we were just starting and learning how to walk, ask ourselves how many times we stumbled and fall but every time it happens we always stand up and try again, that's the process of being able to successfully learn how to walk then run .
Now that we are adults though, we are now able to rationalize things better and want to be more successful but there is this little voice at the back of our mind that tells us, DON''T.
Why? We are scared to fail, we think of what others will say that is not favorable, And that's where the trouble begins, we always think of the negative side first, not how much opportunity we could get if overcome those challenges and set backs we will encounter along the way.
At the end of the day whose going to pay our bills? It is us, not our friends or peers feed backs. Realities in life, simple but sometimes we make it complicated.
Being in between the generations of baby boomer and millennial, I am caught of adjusting to the ever rapid technology advancement and the old school type that still works from time to time. However, as we often see, changes are the only permanent or constant in the world. So being adaptable is a good trait that each and everyone of us should have.
Sometimes I miss the sound of typewriter when i'm making a memo, but at the same when we make mistakes, it is more complicated as we have to get a liquid paper that we call during those times to make a correction and wait for a few minutes to dry up before we could type again and that's the one advantage of being in the techno world now as we just have to undo and we are good to go.
Another advantage now is that we can save the file and print it again and again as compared to typing the same which consumes more time and having carbon copied if we want more than one copy.
Before it used to be, have a degree , go look for a job and retire after 40 years of working in the same company or institution,
Now, majority will job hop for a few months or years from one company to another. There's no job security and stress is high,
So for most, they have a plan A, B and C. Having multiple jobs so in case they got laid off from one of their job they still have a source of income. But in the end they are feeling exhausted. They got their mortgage to live in but they simply go home to change clothes, take a shower, nap for a few hours or just minutes and go. For some not even a minute and they go, just sleep on the bus or subway . It is sad but it's the reality.
I have been in this scenario so I know, I can speak for it. Good thing though that I don't settle in my comfort zone as it depletes the purpose of me having to migrate in country for a better life but in the end it is worst. So getting out of my comfort sacrificing some of my time learning something new without earning during my first few weeks but for longer term I know my life will turn from night into day and a guaranteed retirement life that I envisioned for me and my family.
If given the choice, of working out to working from the comfort of my home even in my kitchen at this point in time. I will choose the later. It is safer, and less expenses to name a few.
Starting is the hardest part, whatever it is. Whether we are starting a new life from our birth country to a new one, a career after our university days, switching career from one to another. I've been in these situations before and one thing I could say, make a plan, execute, have patience, trust in yourself, willing to start from the bottom and learn.
There's no overnight success, forget about get rich quick for more often than not it is not a legit and they are scam.
When it comes in choosing which business we want to be in, there are some important things we must consider...
-inventory
-target market
-captive - will it be local or global?
I prefer less or no inventory at all as it gives me less downtime if I don't have my monthly or annual inventory.
My target market will be working adults with a global captive market. And I can certainly do that by going digital as compared to having a physical store which is also added cost to operations due to maintaining a monthly rental for our space. by going digital I can operate by business anywhere as long as I have a good internet connection.
Most people now would like to have business or start a business, but I am just wondering why some would like to have one but don't like to put up a capital. In any business there will always be a start up capital. Even having a job we invest on our clothes or dress when going for an interview, and going to work we spend money on gas.
Time alone which for me is the most valuable and important component in any aspect whether a business or a job. We spend on that in order to earn and make money.
The question now is, are we going to spend that time helping someone else achieve their dreams or are we going to devote our time achieving our own dream/s?
Most people if asked what they prefer-- is it profit or wages? Majority want profit but in the end they will end up going to wages.
Reasons?
- scared
- don't know how to start
- no background in business
- not enough capital
- afraid to fail
- wants a consistent cash flow to get by right away.
These are just the most common reasons I've heard but there are more.
If we are a dreamer, dream big and act on it. Don't listen to our peers but instead listen to someone who is successful in the field that we want to go. Let them be our GPS. But most especially to our hearts that we want that dream badly, badly enough that we will do whatever it takes.
By the way there are ways that we can have both profit and wages at the same while we are still starting out. And it doesn't conflict with one another.

When everything has been done, time to appreciate what ever effort we put in.
The KEY is have a plan, believe that we can do, and determine to finish the job or project we started. There will be struggles along the way and frustrations that's for sure as i experienced it, especially if we are new to it, but have patience, research and learn, then apply or execute.
I'm not carpenter by the way as I have a degree in medical technology but never practice my profession as I got hooked in sales and marketing and love the challenges and pressures it brings. Keeps my mind to think of ways how to achieve my target.
After framing, time to insulate to keep moisture away and warm during winter and also serves as a sound barrier
after the demo, time to frame the skeleton wall
The start.........
let the demolition begin
Hello everyone, just created my business page to encourage anyone who are having doubts in themselves that they can't do what they wanted to do or don't know where to begin or start.
I'm like most individual in the whole world that got impacted by the current phenomenon we are facing right now.
Scared? At first YES!!!! What will I gonna do now? How can I get by at this point in time? So many how and why questions that came into my mind, during the 1st few months of last year when it all started.
Luckily, i'm always a positive thinker and believe in my capabilities. Starting was the hardest part, I keep looking online for options but it was hard. So since I was just staying home I wanted to be productive and I want to keep busy to divert my attention from the current scenario that we were facing at that time. To start with, my family and I decided to renovate our basement. We made plan of what we want and how it's gonna look like, then demolished the whole basement to its skeleton frame. After 9 months of work everyday the project that we started has come to an end. And I can tell that the hardest part was how to start the demolition but once you are there and got used to it, it becomes easy especially when you enjoy what you are doing and seeing the progress.
