We have already started growing a special type of pumpkins (Southern Africa cultivar). These pumpkins have a lot of benefits and uses. They are used in African cuisines in Zambia, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. The fully matured seeds are roasted and consumed and are so delicious. Pumpkin fruits are used in making pies and desserts and the flowers and leaves can be consumed as vegetables.
