Many of us want to live healthy lives but because of our busy schedules it’s hard for us to stay consistent or even get started. Here are a few tips to help.
1. Set a date: Make it attainable, maybe even short term, for example, Taco Tuesday with your friends, Humpday Wednesday, or even Friday.
2. Set a goal: Maybe you want to drink more water, not eat out, eat healthy or go to the gym. What do you want to achieve in the 2 days prior to Taco Tuesday, or 3 days before Humpday?
3. Prepare to accomplish your goal: if it’s going to the gym; actually put it in your schedule or set an alarm. If it’s drinking more water; purchase the water or prepare the water in advance/the night before. Eating healthy: prepare your meals or prepare to pick up meals from a meal prep company.
4. Execute: ACCOUNTABILITY! Get someone to hold you accountable, get your significant other involved in the goal, single moms get the kids involved(they love to tell you what you said you were going to do😭😅).

Many people ask me HOW I meal prep and depending on how much time I have or want to take preparing my meals, plays a big role. When I need some food quick, this is my go to.

July 2022 I thought I had made my best self. I was very proud of what I had accomplished and though I wasn’t able to grace the stage when I wanted I felt it was my best. And honestly it was AT THAT TIME.
It wasn’t until I kept working, meal prepping and staying consistent, when less than a year later, I really seen what my best was. I was able to debut and achieve my pro card all at one time.
Everyone’s compliments and praise is very appreciative and not taken for granted. And I understand that everyone can’t do it and wasn’t given the gift to do it. However, I know I have more and so do you….
Stay focused!! Everyday is hard, break it down to each meal choice or even each workout. Before you know it, you will have changed as well.

The day before the show, it felt like all odds were against me. I was literally trying to hold it together.
- My nanny called and cancelled
- I lost the money I spent on her room
- Found out at 5 pm that my second tanning session was booked the same time as my mua (6am)
- The athlete meeting was at 920 at the venue

BUT GOD 😭😭🙌🏾
- My aunt decided to come to the show and my babies were allowed in the staging area while I was on stage🙌🏾
- My nanny felt bad and sent me the money I lost on her hotel room🙌🏾
- My MUA was able to move my apt until after tanning and didn’t charge extra for the change🙌🏾😭
And my kids were with me through the whole process. I received my pro card💪🏾, but we were exhausted. GOD DID‼️
WHEN GOD BE FOR YOU WHO CAN BE AGAINST YOU🙌🏾😭.
Exhausted was not the word for this day😂 but thank you for capturing such a great accomplishment.🥰🫶🏾

Words cannot truly explain the feeling of this accomplishment. I was overwhelmed in joy with winning first place. But to learn I’ve become an OCB PRO in Masters 35+ is just over the top.
This was my first show😭🥹🥺🥺. ….I was just a woman who loved weightlifting and bodybuilding, and that’s what I have been doing for the past 11 1/2 years. But it wasn’t until I met my coach that I seen the vision she seen for me. I just believed and got to work.
If you only knew my story….😭🙌🏾BUT GOD🙌🏾🙌🏾.
Thank you to everyone who supported, called, sent a dm, left a message of encouragement, sent a text, my military family who wouldn’t go on liberty until I hit the gym 😂 and made sure there was a variety of food for😂🫶🏾. I love all of yall🥰🥰😘❣️
