This seminar was attended by Bachelor of Science in Social Work Students of SJCB, who showcased their passion for advocating for the rights and well-being of vulnerable youth. Under the guidance of Ma'am Sheila Marie T. Apostol and Ma'am Imelda T. Corpuz and Ma'am Minaflor B. Mansibang. The event, attended by enthusiastic participants, primarily comprised Bachelor of Science in Social Work Students of Saint Joseph's College of Baggao.
Sir Narciso (Pong) B. Corpuz, the LDRRMO III (MDRRMO), shared valuable insights into the role of gender integration in disaster risk reduction. Sir Pong highlighted the need to recognize the unique vulnerabilities faced by different genders and the importance of inclusive approaches in disaster management. His engaging presentation called for empowering women as active agents of change in building resilient communities.
Moreover, Ma'am Minaflor B. Mansibang, the Social Welfare Officer III OF DSWD R02, tackled the pressing issue of climate change. She highlighted the impacts of climate change and the urgent need for responsive strategies in mitigating and adapting to climate challenges. Her thought-provoking insights awakened the social work students to the critical role they can play in addressing climate change.
The seminar provided a platform for social work students to gain knowledge, foster collaboration, and actively contribute to gender-integrated disaster risk reduction and climate resilience efforts. It equipped them with practical insights and strategies to promote gender equality and inclusivity in their future roles as effective social workers.

This enlightening seminar delved into the complexities of international migration, shedding light on the challenges faced by migrant workers and the legal frameworks in place to protect their rights. Through the lens of OWWA's Program on Integration and Welfare Services, participants gained valuable insights into the crucial support systems available to migrants.

Heads Up Ka-JSWAP|| 2023 Oath Taking Ceremony of Newly Registered Social Workers in Region 2 , was held at GTA Bldg., Pagulayan St., Balzain East, Tuguegarao City, on November 18, 2023, with the theme "Onward Agile Social Workers: Signifying Commitment, Exploring Pathways, and Moving Forward Beyond Experiences."
SJCB Bachelor of Science in Social Work Pioneers, namely Mr. Jerick Kate Gawiran, RSW, and Ms. Virginia Lacuata, RSW, attended the 2023 Oath-Taking Ceremony of Newly Registered Social Workers as part of their success for passing the Social Workers Licensure Examination (SWLE) held last September 2023. Mr. Jerick Kate Gawiran, RSW, one of the passers, expressed his words of inspiration on how his dreams came into REALITY.
This significant event symbolizes their commitment to serve the community and promote social welfare. On this solemn occasion, they pledge to uphold the values of compassion, integrity, and respect for the dignity and worth of individuals.

We, the Junior Social Workers Association of the Philippines National Council advocates and protects LGBTQIA+ safety, access to identity- affirming healthcare and appropriate facilities, rights to housing, rights to employment and much more. As we have reiterated always, LGBTQIA+ rights are human rights - and we must do better to turn equity into reality.
We will always be with you as we raise awareness of the issues faced, creating a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people, building and supporting the community, encouraging/supporting acceptance and inclusivity!

A social worker provides the proper knowledge, creative mind, and a good heart to extend helping hands in delivering quality services and approaches in the most effective and efficient manner to individuals.
