"Leadership is action, not position." -Donald H.
McGannon

Leadership is not about the authoritative role we hold in an organization, rather it is about the choice of actions we prefer to take. And leadership should be linked to passion, commitment, determination, cooperation, and earning respect to understand the basics of "act more, talk less".

Congratulations to the newly elected officers of Social Work! You are the new voice of our program. You only have a year to leave a mark; it's time to get to work and make things possible.

I am (Name) from (Regional Chapter) of the Junior Social Workers' Association of the Philippines National Council and I am one in breaking the barriers by empowering individuals, groups, and communities to provide a better service to humanity.

As we celebrate World Social Work Day 2023 with the theme: "๐’๐จ๐œ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ค๐ฌ ๐๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ", we promote overcoming challenges and have a strong desire to assist different communities, our nation, and our world for a better place for all.

As social work students, we strive for knowledge and excellent skills to have great potential in helping people to help themselves. A social worker provides the proper knowledge, creative mind, and a good heart to extend helping hands in delivering quality services and approaches in the most effective and efficient manner to individuals.

We social workers are the hieroglyph of the future. Together, we sustain goals and create powerful changes by empowering thousands of lives for a better generation.

We are glad to be part of this tremendous and astonishing celebration. With the theme "Respecting Diversity Through Joint Social Action" __"Social Work Breaks Barries". Celebrating World Social Work Month this March has a great impact on each one of us because we have learned to value and love the profession we are taking now. Most importantly, to commemorate this heart-warming and wonderful profession.

The social work profession requires purity, genuineness, empathy, positivity, care, and love to be an effective social worker. We promote social justice, human rights, and equity for a great relationship between us and our society. To all social workers and future social workers around the world, let us all keep on breaking barriers and have a happy World Social Work Month!
