Our team managed to get over to Whitby Pirate Festival at the weekend and as per usual things quickly descended into chaos with a disagreement on how to deal with the redcoats, Quartermaster Jack wanted to bribe them and Gunnery Sgt Tiny wanted to just shoot them.... Honestly can't take them anywhere can we?

Today GDC management headed over to armed forces day in Stockton and got some hands on experience with history and modern fi****ms (which of course were not loaded) which certainly pleased our resident gun expert, having a hold of the latest army sharpshooter equipment (which your poor social media guy forgets the name of). And our aircraft enthusiast managed to have a fantastic conversation with someone who is building a replica of a Sopwith tabloid, as flown by the predecessor of the RAF the royal flying corps in 1914

Next training session is our open combat session, practice choreography, delve into historical techniques and manuals or get kitted up and fight us in buhurt league (soft kit) duels. No kit or experience necessary, we'll walk you through everything ⚔️

Yesterday management took a trip out to the glorious vistas of north Yorkshire with a beautiful view from Sutton bank and then we randomly found Thirsk museum which was a fantastic and fascinating little museum

So you might have noticed that we've missed a few days of posting this week but that is because our main social media man has been on holiday this week looking at some incredible pieces of history in the south of Italy, he's sent us back some amazing photos and has plenty more in reserve to show you all in the coming week

We had a bit of a moment today in training. When doing some rapier demonstrations our instructors managed to get entangled in each others' guards, we got a bit lucky in the fact that it was directed away from the hands as we've known this sort of thing to have catastrophic results. What's worse is it happened again 5 minutes later 😂

Today management were back in for a regular meeting and set up some very important admin
