Kenoyer Performance Horses
Training, Lessons, Showing, and Sales for reining, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, equitation, horsemanship and futurity horses.
We have shared so much all year about those who have shown, but we don't want to forget those currently behind the scenes.
Penny Swearingin and Smart Chex SF were only able to show once or twice mostly because of sheep being born lol, but they have grown to become a good team, developing trust and confidence in each other, we look forward to them joining us at more shows this year!
Sandra and Mike Fossano made a few changes over the year, but they both grew tremendously after beginning training with us in the middle of the year. We look forward to what Sandy and her new horse Sailin Jacd Up accomplish this year, and seeing what their futurity prospect Ruf And You Like It develops into!
Audrey Barnes and Jacquelyn Oliver both chose to start reining lessons this year, and have improved their horsemanship while really falling in love with the sport, Jacquelyn even just bought her first reining mare! We can't wait to see what the little mare can do!
Audrey has been competing on IHSA for the MSU team, bringing home a few wins in the reining and horsemanship and gaining good ring experience! We look forward to helping her continue and grow her reining career
Ella Sny joined us for a while and cleaned house in the all around events! We have stuff cooking with her still so stay tuned!
Bella Demick and Charlotte Smith both started riding this year, they are both 10 and have only been riding a few months and have made major gains in their horsemanship, they are both looking forward to hitting a few shows in the coming year!
Maddie Wehrman and Olaf, while not our typically customer, her equitation and confidence have sky rocketed in their time together, we know they will achieve great things this year!
Lily Junak joined us after a small break from horses and switching over from English, she is still rather new to horses but has really developed a good seat and grown in horsemanship skills that last few months.
Marcy Russel and her mare have developed more and more into a team, they did hit a few appaloosa shows this year, but we are setting but goals for this next year!
Grace Huff did join us for one show after beginning lessons later in the year, she has grown to understand and work with her horse on a different level that allowed them to achieve success at their first show with us, we can't wait to see what this year brings!
Another year has come to an end, as we look back on 2023 and look forward to 2024, we want to thank all of our amazing owners and clients who make everything we do possible. This is just a small highlight of everything accomplished this year.
There are still many with us who have shown minimally and some who haven't shown at all, but they have all made huge strides in their horsemanship and have found joy in the sport of reining!
Thank you Michigan Reining Horse Association for another wonderful year!

Merry Christmas to everyone! Thank you for another wonderful year!
The last MRHA show of 2023 is in the books and it was a great show!
Karl Langmaack and Walla Walla Melody marked a 70 in Rookie, ending them in 3rd place, as well as many other top rides in the green!
Kendra Langmaack and Sunshine and Whizkey really started to put together all the pieces this weekend, having their best stops yet, and multiple top places in both the reining and ranch!
Cameron Werhman and Shootin In The Rein had a very successful weekend, Shooter being 4 and Cam being 12, they showed for the first time one handed! They ended Reserve Champion in the Youth 13& Under, and top ten in the green, and Can really showed how much of a showman he has becoming not letting himself get distracted by his horse tripping.
Doreen Cawley and Jacd Up Speckles had ups and downs, overall they got better than ever before, figured out some things, had top placings and good practice before OKC!
Sandra Fassano and DancinNTheBoonlight had their first show together as well as their first show with us! This green three year old and Sandy really made a lot of big leaps this weekend, from their first time doing flying lead changes to navigating the show pen, they really showed they have come so far already and the future is bright for them!
Ashlynn Kenoyer and A Lister were Co-Champs Rookie Pro and secured (unofficially) the year end champion slot!
Seth Kenoyer and Cee N Spook and A Lasting Boom for Bill and Denise Schroeder won paychecks in the Novice Horse 1&2 all weekend!
Ashlynn Kenoyer and Sailin Jacd Up had great rides and placed top 5 all weekend in Rookie Pro!
Seth Kenoyer and Mobsters Smart Juice for Jeanne and James Nugent, had a great ride in the futurity, but a true baby moment kept them out of the top placings, either way we love her and can't wait to see what she does in the future!
Thank you to our clients for another great weekend, next stop Congress!
Late update due to the tornado last week, but we had a great time at the TN Reining Horse Show!
⭐Kendra Langmaack and Sunshine N Whizkey won their biggest check ever! ⭐

Kendra and Joe had great rides in the ranch and reining with Top Ten placings in every class
Cameron and Shooter had great rides, learned a lot this weekend and had a few top ten placings
Penny and Peanut had their best go in the show pen yet! The smile on her face says it all!
Doreen and Georgie ran their best circles to date!
Seth and Georgie for Doreen Cawley had a great run in the derby, not enough for a paycheck but we are very happy with how he showed!
Seth and Duchess for Jeanne Nugent showed for the first time this weekend to prepare for futurities, she showed very well, we are so excited for her future!
Seth and Ricky Bobby for Bill and Denise Schroeder had good runs in the Novice Horse earning a few top threes!
Seth and Josie for Bill and Denise Schroeder earned a paycheck in the Novice Horse also!
Ashlynn and Joe for Doreen Cawley, had great runs all weekend in the ranch and reining earning top 5 in all their classes.
Ashlynn and A Lister won the Rookie Pro the first day and placed third the second day to officially put A Listers earnings over $50,000!!
Colleen showed A Lister for the first time in the ranch, placing top ten and learning he doesn't like long trotting lol
Clara showed A Lister for the first time without someone holding on to her in the leadline! (Probably the biggest accomplishment of all 🤣🤣)
All in all it was a great weekend and we are back home preparing for the next one
Better late than never!
Congrats to A Lasting Boom and Seth Kenoyer for Bill and Denise Schroeder, Champion Novice Horse 1 and third the following day, at MWRHA Classic last weekend!
Denise Schroeder and her new horse, Cee N Spook, also finished in 4th place in the Non Pro Novice Horse 2 and earned their first paycheck!
And a big thank you to Reed and Quinn Selner and Danielle Vigue for letting Clara show Pete in the leadline, she put on quite the show for 10 mins in the arena lol.
We didn't take any one else to the show, it was a nice quiet weekend for us. I don't have any other photos because I fail at that lol.
We had a great weekend at the first MRHA show of the year, all of our clients new and old made huge strides and gained good homework for the next show!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone!
Congratulations Eleanor and Laura Nagy on your purchase of "HollywoodsGotaShotgun" aka Rein! We are excited to see what you accomplish in the all around events and look forward to updates on your progress together!
Rein is a 3 year old by Captain Barbossa.
Braids for days on this guy! And they could have even been made smaller!
If you are trying to grow mane or maintain an already long mane, braiding it into small braids that are loose at the crest and then tight the rest of the way down will help keep the mane from getting tangled and breaking, while also making it easier to keep clean, a clean crest helps promote hair growth. We keep our braids in for about a week before taking them out, brushing and cleaning the mane and rebraiding it.
There is nothing quite like the first ride on your horse 😊 Alyce we couldn't be happier with your little mare, and are so happy you trusted us with her, we hope you enjoyed riding her for the first time today!
What a beautiful night for working towards next season!
