Would you take a chance on these 3 muskateers?
Introducing Lazarus, Hunnybun and Choc Chip! An unlikely group of buns who came together to form a companionship we could never have imagined!
So who are these sweet bunnies?
Lazarus - black male, was surrendered to us after he was booked in for euthanasia because his owner simply didn’t want him anymore! Yet, he’s such a sweet bun, nervous of humans (understandably), but adores his bunny companions.
Hunnybun - sandy female, was surrendered to us with another friend she’d been with her whole life. Unfortunately, the stressful move into the rescue caused some pretty severe disagreements between her and her old friend, so they had to be separated. Hunnybun was then lonely after spending her whole life with a bunny companion, so she was introduced to her newest best friends. She’s jelled well with the group, and since become a bit of a leader, who the other bunnies look to for confidence when they’re nervous!
Choc chip - dark brown female, was surrendered to us as a stray when she was just a baby. She severely lacked confidence and we weren’t too sure how well she would do in the rescue environment, so the decision was made to introduce her to some other bunny friends for confidence. She has since come through in leaps and bounds and we are so proud of her, she still is quite anxious and skittish, but very happy when with her bunny friends.
These 3 bunnies will require a super bun parent who is understanding of their individual personalities. They are far more confident in a group setting, but lack confidence around humans. They will need someone patient, who doesn’t push them for interaction, and instead allows them to exist in a safe environment, where they can mostly do their own thing as a group, rather than constant direct human contact!
Think this could be you?

Butternut has been adopted!
Despite her scary diagnosis, Butternut was lucky enough to find the perfect forever home last month where she is settling in very nicely!
While her run in with E. Cuniculi means that Butternut won’t have any bunny siblings, she is so happy to be the queen of her new home with lots of space to run around and explore. She is well-loved by her human companions and has many adventures ahead of her.
Our biggest congratulations go out to Butternut and her new family!
If you would like to be the next to offer one of our bunnies a forever home, jump on over to the link in our bio!

Meet Butternut! Butternut is the sweetest little lop bunny who is hoping to find herself a forever home. Butternut came into our rescue as a stray back in September of 2023, and has been waiting patiently for a home ever since.
She’s a spunky girl with heaps of personality, she loves pats, climbing in her cat tower and watching her neighbour bunnies!
Unfortunately, Butternut was diagnosed with E cuniculi. She was treated accordingly and been in full health since, but neither we or her veterinarian can guarantee the disease has been completely eradicated. As a result, Butternut will need to go to a home with no other bunnies.
We are hoping an amazing person can come along and love and care for her. Because of her e cuniculi, there is a possibility she may become ill in the future, but there’s also a high likelihood that she will live a full and happy life with no consequences. We think regardless, she deserves a chance to live in a loving home and spend her time with the best possible family.
If you’re interested in Butternut, or want to learn more about E cuniculi, please reach out via the link in our bio!
