Cows are happy happy! Cover crop is feeding off well even after some hard freezes.
Here's the full time lapse of our strip grazing project. We run temporary fence to condense our herd to graze only a portion of our cover crop at a time. This allows for better feed utilization, and a more uniformed coverage of urine and manure. Sometimes it doesn't go as planned. You'll see a few strays that we had to entice back into the field... We also ran out of polywire right at the end and needed to splice more in as we put up the next fence in sequence. Fun times
