SALT Retreat 2024
We spent 2 days in the mountains amidst the clouds and refreshing rains over the holidays for our annual retreat. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and refreshing moments with the Savior, over His word, food, faith, and prayers. It was also an exciting time to welcome new members and a meaningful moment to listen to each other.
The students and teachers of Marabuhay Elementary School send their thanks to you friends for the blessings you sent their way. Daghang salamat! Sukran! Madamo gid nga salamat!
We had our first ever “Sunday School” with the kids from the community we regularly go to. We had our first “Sunday School” with the children of the community we go to. They don’t know any of the Sunday school songs many of us grew up singing, but we still sang some anyways. We told them about how God will provide for our needs through the story of Elijah and the widow. We understand that it’s going to be a very long journey, but with your prayers, they will also get to know Jesus and have a relationship with Him.
Also, these are some of the children who need help for their school supplies this incoming school year. If you want to help, please send us a direct message so we can provide you with details.
(Video is blurred because we want to protect the kids’ identity)
Hello friends!
Our partner school in the community is asking if we could help their students with their school supplies. We are raising P89,000 for the 315 students enrolled in Marabuhay Elementary School. The amount will be used to buy notebooks, papers, pens, and pencils. If you want to donate, you can directly send it to our BPI bank account:
Silbi, Amuma, Lihok, Tabang (SALT) Inc.
Account number: 8093044003.
Please inform us if you made a donation so we can issue a receipt for you.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. Blessings!
SALt is Eight! Thank you friends for celebrating 8 years of God’s faithfulness with us. Until the next ♾️ years of serving the Lord together.
The Greek word used for “It is finished” in John 19:30 is tetelestai. In finanance it means all debts are paid. The courts use it to mean the sentence is served in full. In military terms it means the battle is fully won.
If you are going through difficult times right now, be reminded that TETELESTAI, it is finished. You are debt-free. You are free. You are victorious. Jesus has overcome the world for you.
Prayers in faith can move mountains (Matthew 17:20-21). But you know what’s more awesome when we have a relationship with the Lord? He’ll sometimes answer our prayers even before we ask. Have a blessed day ahead!
A huge shout of appreciation to Ate Ems, Danvie, Precious, and the rest of the Mindanao Equipping Program people who are helping us navigate the financial intricacies of our organization. You amazing ladies are a huge blessing to us. Thank you!
Hello friends!
It’s been a while since we last posted an update here and we think it’s about time we update you on what’s been going on with us.
We are almost complete with our water project somewhere in North Cotabato for our Iranun brothers and sisters. We know that we have been saying that for over a year now, but really, we are almost there. The community has clean water that they can use now, but there are small kinks that we need to fix. So, praise God for the water!
If there’s one thing that we can point to as a major improvement in them is that they have made it a point to pray before and after our meetings and they have recently allowed us to pray for them in the name of Isa Almasi (Jesus Christ).
Please continue to pray for our brothers and sisters there. Pray that one day soon their prayers will be directed to Isa. Also pray that their water source will continue to provide them with more than enough clean water that they can enjoy.
We also ask that you help us pray for wisdom so that all the minor kinks will be fixed the soonest.
Just this year, we have started building a relationship with some of our Maguindanaon friends who live somewhere in inner parts of Maguindanao. They are not the most receptive when it comes to welcoming people who are doing God’s work, but, just as one of our friends used to say, “Gipakamatyan sad na sila ni Jesus (Jesus also died for them).” So there we will gladly go.
Please pray for protection over us as we visit them. Also pray for them that they will open their hearts to Isa.
As an organization, we are fixing some legalities that we have previously overlooked. We are going through an arduous process that we hope will help us become good citizens worthy of the Gospel.
Please pray for wisdom as we comply with what the government requires of us. The things we are doing are new to us and we are not trained in this field, but we trust God to sustain and guide us.
This has gotten long. What we are really trying to say is that, we are doing well; we are doing what God has put in our heart to do; and we are glad that we have friends like you who are always praying for us.
Until the next update Salties!
P.S. We just got back from the community and here are some of the pics we took.
Amen! Everyone deserves to hear the Gospel! Help us reach those who have never heard.
Trees influence the availability of water. So to ensure that the TD Marabuhay Water System’s source does not dry up, we planted trees around its 30-meter radius.
We’d like to thank the Municipality of Alamada, especially to Mr. Danilo Puno of the Alamada MENRO for the bayog, narra, rattan, and mangosteen seedings. Also thank you to Cong. Joel S. Sacdalan for for linking us up.
Now let’s pray for rain so our trees will grow fast.
We had a wonderful time of fellowship, prayer, and celebration last night. We turned 7 on May 31st and we couldn't be more thankful to our amazing God for sustaining us all through these years!
We miss those who were unable to join us but we were so elated to see each one after quite a while, wearing big smiles and bringing in laughter and a cheerful spirit.
We also installed into office our new president. Congratulations, Omega Cabalinan! We are praying for God's wisdom and grace for you as you take part in this new task in His vineyard. Thank you for accepting the call. And we are equally grateful to our former leader, Diana Lhyd Suelto for graciously serving with us. You served well with grace and honor!
Today is International Day for the Unreached. Help us pray for those who have not heard nor have the access to hear the Gospel.
Have you prayed today? Please pray for those denied access to the Gospel. Everyday people live and die never hearing the Good News of Jesus.
Join us here on Facebook tomorrow, May 28th at 1:11pm to help us pray for unreached people groups.
Don't miss it!
Thank you Global for the great resource!
Yesterday we fellowshipped with fellow believers and studied John 20. We had a good discussion and was reminded of Christ’s victory over death.
We were also reminded that those who incessantly seek Jesus will be rewarded with His presence, and if we really know Him, though we may sometimes not recognize His face, we will certainly recognize His voice.
On a lighter note, ”the other disciple” runs faster than Peter. 😂 Jesus is also a neat and orderly person. He separately folded the linen cloth covering His body from the linen cloth covering His face.
Third time’s a charm.
It took us three attempts to successfully hang the water pipe across the river to secure it in case it floods. The gloomy weather was also a welcome respite from the scorching heat.
Thank you Jesus!
Yesterday we put up the pole that will secure the pipe that crosses Marabuhay River especially when it floods.
We are grateful for the faithful community workers who braved the noonday heat to help with the work.
Hooray because the construction phase is 90% done.
When all the trees are gone, springs run dry. It is why tree planting is one of the components of the TD Marabuhay Water System Project.
We are happy and blessed that Cong. Joel S. Sacdalan has partnered with us in this endeavor and has linked us with the Municipality of Alamada’s Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office. No less than the Head of MENRO, Mr. Danilo Puno, went to the community to educate the people on the importance of trees in preserving water. MENRO will also be providing seedlings to plant in the watershed area and along the Marabuhay River.
Thank you also to Ma’am Vera Futolan, Cong. Sacdalan’s Info Officer, for your immeasurable help.

Pray for Turkiye and Syria
Urgent prayer: earthquake in Syria and Turkey It is said to be one of the strongest earthquakes to hit the region in over a century. In the video above, an Open Doors partner called Father Fadi shares what he has seen in Latakia. His church buildings suffered material damage, though thankfully nobody was killed there.
We had our first meeting with the community people on Saturday, February 5, to organize them for the maintenance of the TD Marabuhay Water System.
One of sentiments they expressed is their fear of being abandoned. They were assured that they will not be abandoned, just as the Lord promised His people that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Pray with us as we continue to show the love of Jesus to the Iranuns.
Thank you for helping little Caleb, ❤️
Starting 'em young.
Little Caleb helping the SALT Team titas pack Christmas packets for 370 Iranun school children in North Cotabato. Pray that they may know the greatest gift of all. Thank you for your help and support!

These lines represent so much, which is why we talk about them so much!
We are passionate about making people aware of the unreached, because many people don't know!
Here's your chance to help us raise awareness for the unreached! The line that stands alone represents 3 billion people who have no access to Jesus.
Write these 3 lines somewhere visible so you can start a conversation!

Back at it again. After taking a short Christmas break, we are back to working on the Marabuhay water project. This time the major gaps on the spring cap were plugged to ensure that the water is contained. A few more pushes and Marabuhay will soon have clean running water.
All glory and honor to God, the provider of all things.
Thank you for sending your donations. The children of Campandan Island in Talavera, Surigao del Norte were very happy with their goodies.
We are still accepting donations since we will be going back to Suriago on February (no specific date yet) to bring building materials to the victims of Typhoon Odette, so they can start rebuilding their homes.
Again, thank you very much for helping.
