Happy Birthday Carol Harvey Larsen!

When did you join Posse?
I joined the year after the bylaws were changed and allowed women to join. Willow Street was the first, my sister Karen Harvey Shaw (then was married to Scott Aeschliman, who was in the Posse) was 2nd, and I believe I was 3rd. I think it was around 1993 or 1994. So I’ve been with the Posse about 30 years.

My favorite thing about the Posse is the lifelong friendships I have been blessed with. So many people have came and went with the group, but I know with every one of them, they would be there for me (and I for them) if I needed help. The Posse is like a brotherhood bond.

My favorite event is always parking cars at the fair. I remember being a little kid and looking up at those guys on horseback that worked together like a well oiled machine. No radios, just hand signals and years working together. I remember thinking
‘I want to do that someday’. 🥹

To anyone considering joining the Posse….. do it! It’s an honor to be part of a group with such history, pride and honor in Whitman County. And you will make friends that will always be there because you have the Posse connection. 🥰👮‍♀️🐴
