On behalf of the compact majority of Embu Youths we want to denounce such a proclamation. No one has a right to endorse anyone on our behalf without our prior consent.
Its common knowledge that the said candidate is simply a village champion.

Gikuuri residents loose property as county governments reclaims land meant for a road.

Gukuuri residents were today woken up by the sound of a tractor ploughing a road that connects gikuuri market And Ngarari road.The road had been grabbed by a few individuals who used it for their personal gains.One of the residents who had illegally built shops along the road is counting losses as they shops and a wall were demolished as residents watched .It was also a double joy for the residents as a watering point a long the road that was set a side by the government to provide clean water for the residents of gikuuri was also reclaimed and restored.It was pain and anguish for one of the residents as the road passes at the middle of his house.He was given a few days to relocate and pave way for the road to be restored.Rumours has it that one one the residents who had illegally grabbed part of the land and was a retired member of the municipal council had vowed that the road will never be dug as long as he is alive.As things got thick he was forced to rethink his ideal and finally succumbed to pressure and gave way for the road to be restored.

It has taken a long time for the authorities to try and persuade the land grabbers to leave the land but resisted but finally the law has taken its course.

HOW WAMBORA GIFTED EMBU COUNTY AN AIRSTRIP WHILE SERVING AS THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD KENYA AIRPORTS AUTHORITY.

ACHIEVEMENT
He was a former member of parliament for Runyenjes Constituency from 2003 to 2007. Prior to becoming the governor of Embu county, he served as the chairman of the board of Kenya Airports Authority and led to its winning of the two most prestigious airport industry awards in 2011.
• The World Routes Airports Marketing Awards- In the category of the African region. Jomo Kenyatta International Airports (JKIA) attracted the biggest number of airlines in Africa.
• Award for Best Airport in Africa.
• The Best Cargo Airport in Emerging Markets which include Africa, Middle East, India, Russia and Baltic States.
During his tenure as the Chairman of Kenya Ports authority. He had a twenty year master plan whose one of the key highlights was to to have new Runways in Embu ,Isiolo and Nyeri.
On 30 January 2017 The standard media website (https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2001227738/embu-gets-nod-to-develop-airstrip-for-domestic-flights) wrote an article about on how the Kenya Aviation authorities director Had given Embu county the greenlight to go ahead and develop the airstrip for Domestic flights.
Mr Wambora also added that he had received bids from international investors who wanted to use the airstrip for commercial purposes.
He said the investors were already willing to give out money to extend the airstrip's runway from the current 1.6 kilometres to four kilometres.
Wambora who is a former KAA chairman said the airstrip is used only by Kenya Air Force for drones which only require a runway of 100 metres.
"We have interested investors but the problem is that the airstrip is out of bounds for anyone apart from security agents guarding it or operating drones there. Moyale has military personnel but civilians use it," he said.
The county chief said people living near the airstrip had already been compensated and would leave anytime the airstrip becomes operational.
