Tony Mattivi for Attorney General
Tony Mattivi has decades of experience fighting for what’s right as a federal prosecutor.
I’m very excited about this next chapter! I’m grateful to Medcor for putting up with me for these past two years, and I’m grateful to Kris for nominating me. I’m profoundly honored to have the opportunity to lead such a prestigious agency. Now let’s see how many great things we can do for the State of Kansas and our law enforcement community!

Friends,
Although yesterday's result wasn't the one we had hoped for, my disappointment is outweighed by a sense of optimism and gratitude. Strangers have become supporters and in turn become friends. I have been consistently humbled by the generosity you have shown with your time, your spirit, your homes, and so much more.
Reflecting on the whole experience, even knowing what the result would be, I would do it all over again. I would do it for the lifelong friendships I've made and for the opportunity to get to know our great state in a way I never imagined I could. But most of all, I would do it for the men and women of law enforcement who inspired me to run in the first place. We may not have won this primary, but we engaged law enforcement voices in this race in unprecedented ways. We forced these issues into the center of the debate, and I believe that will have a lasting impact in the general election and beyond.
I am prouder today to be a Kansan than I have ever been. Because Kansas is its people, and I am so very blessed to count so many more of them among my friends.
Today is Election Day, and I am asking for your vote!
Kansas deserves a conservative Attorney General who has real-life courtroom experience locking up terrorists, drug dealers and criminals. I'm the only candidate with that background, and the only candidate who will not embarrass our state.
Make a plan to get to the polls! They are open until 7pm!
The attack dogs for Senator Kellie Warren, the most stunningly unqualified AG candidate in a generation, who hasn't prosecuted even a speeding ticket, are challenging the qualifications of a decorated career prosecutor who voluntarily deployed twice - to Iraq to prosecute Chemical Ali, and to Guantanamo to prosecute the mastermind of the USS Cole attack. More politics as usual from the political establishment.
Mattivi was the National Security Coordinator for Kansas during the Trump Administration. He was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Civilian Service. He has the overwhelming support of Kansas law enforcement. Vote Mattivi for AG.
Tomorrow is Election Day, and I'm asking for your vote! If you have not done so already, make a plan to get to the polls.

“LAW ENFORCEMENT IS A BIG DILL” Pickle Ball Tournament in Wichita today, sponsored by the great folks at the Wichita Metro Crime Commission, Inc. I had a great partner, but we got a tough draw. Thanks for letting me join you, John Lehnherr! i’m already looking forward to next year.
I am the attorney who is best qualified to be your next Attorney General, both in experience and in temperament. Kansas families cannot afford to put their safety into the hands of candidates like my opponents who do not share my record of successfully prosecuting terrorists, drug dealers and criminals in the courtroom. The inability of my opponents to perform the job properly is an embarrassment Kansas can avoid. That's why it's so important to receive your vote on Tuesday, August 2nd.
It was so kind of the folks in Hugoton to let me talk with them about my qualifications, the Kansas AG’s Office, and why it’s critically important that we have an attorney general who is qualified for the job - and not a politician. And that was the best chicken fried steak I’ve had in a very long time!
The Depot in Liberal is a beautiful building, and I’m so thankful to Stewart and Nichelle Cauble, Eli Svaty, and Sheriff Gene Ward for helping me connect with the great people of Liberal and southwest Kansas. Kansas needs an AG who is experienced and qualified to be our state’s chief law enforcement official!
The Knights of Columbus in Hugoton were so kind to welcome a fellow Knight at their event this week! Thank you for letting me talk with you about the Kansas Attorney General race and how important it is that we elect a qualified candidate who won’t embarrass our state.
It was a real pleasure to talk to voters in Garden City about the race to become Kansas Attorney General and why it’s so important that we have an AG who is a professional, not a politician. A huge thank you to Bill Clifford, Bob Tempel, and Laura Bors for sponsoring the event. And it was a special treat to see the family of Dan Day, the courageous and patriotic informant in my Garden City militia case. Garden City Independent

Thank you, Janie and Tom Welsh, for all your help and support in southwest Kansas!
I’m grateful for the chance to talk to voters in Russell about the Kansas AG’s race and why we MUST have a prosecutor - and someone who won’t embarrass our state on the national stage - as our Attorney General. And it was an interesting trip out and back! A huge THANK YOU to Andrea Krug Krauss and the folks at John O. Farmer!
Republican Women of the High Plains, you all rock! Thank you for inviting me to talk about my qualifications and why it’s so critically important that we have a Kansas Attorney General who has prosecuted criminals and is qualified for the job. It was my pleasure to show you our TV ad! And thank you for the cupcakes, Darla Samy!
Before deciding to run for Attorney General, I had no intention of ever running for an elected, political office. I did it because I believe Kansas needs an AG who is a crime fighter, not a career politician. I've been recognized by conservative individuals and groups all around the state, and I've become the conservatives’ choice for the job. As your Attorney General, my promise to you is that I will always put the needs and rights of America and Kansas first.
When an icon of Kansas journalism texts and asks if you can come by for an interview, that’s a good day. Thanks, WIBW Melissa Brunner!
There’s no better place to see a slice of real America than a county fair in Kansas. And no better people than Pratt County Sheriff Jimmy White and Comanche County Sheriff Mike Lehl - these guys are American heroes and patriots, fighting crime and serving their communities. Thank you both for inviting me to the Pratt County Fair! I got to see young people who had worked hard to raise their animals, watch a roll-over auction that raised more than $60,000 for a scholarship fund honoring a young man who left this world too early ( ), hang out with some young deputies and officers who embody everything this country is about, catch up with a high school classmate (Dr. Iain Shand, an orthopedic surgeon in Pratt), watch a concert by Martina McBride (one of my all-time faves), see some amazing crafts, eat phenomenal Mexican food, an even tag along on an EMS call. This was a truly enjoyable day. Thank you all for everything you do to make Kansas the greatest state in this country!
Attention all of our Wichita supporters:
What a great place for a campaign event! Thank you, Marc Bennett DA and Tamara and DiMaria’s in Cheney! We met so many fantastic people, then I got a VIP tour of the Sedgwick County Fair. It was one of the most fun nights of the campaign!
Thank you, (CWO4) Gregg Fuson and Michele Fuson - and one other great supporter who wanted to avoid the limelight - for a really enjoyable event in your beautiful complex in Wichita! It may have been our hottest event of the campaign season. But it was a fantastic group and I enjoyed meeting all of your friends. Thank you for your support!
Well, the campaign trail has NOT been boring. Driving from Osage City to Wichita, on I-35 near Emporia, I saw this big ol’ dump truck - with its dump bed still up - leave a construction zone and run smack into this bridge. The dump truck then flipped onto the tanker, rupturing the tank and spilling hot tar all over the highway. I was two vehicles behind the dump truck when it happened. I drove through the grassy median, around to the front of the wreck, to check on the driver, who was injured and trapped in the cab. I’m embarrassed to say that, yes, that’s my bare foot in a flip-flop, on top of the cab trying to assist the driver. Definitely not hazmat protocol!! But I didn’t feel like I could stand back and not assist the driver if she was badly hurt. She ended up just having a big cut on her head and a banged up face (that’s the medical term, of course). She’s lucky to be alive. ** And does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this tar off my truck? **
As a hunter, the 2nd Amendment is very important to me, just as it is for generations of families all around Kansas who hunt. As your Attorney General, I will push back against useless, feel-good calls to restrict gun rights, and ensure your ability to protect yourself and your loved ones.
I have the best friends! Thank you, Brenda Cox, for reaching out, offering to put a sign for me on K-170 (south of Osage City), and sending pics of my most interesting supporters (so far)!
I got the most special treat tonight! After speaking at the Fort Scott Chamber of Commerce Candidate Forum (where I was the only AG candidate in attendance, by the way), the most wonderful lady came up to say hello. This is Bonnie Smith, the mother of Robin Smith, who was one of the two excellent FBI case agents in our Garden City militia case. She greeted me with a huge smile and an even bigger hug. She made my night. And her son is a real-life American patriot. Thank you, Bonnie!
It's not every day that the Kansas City Star endorses a conservative, but they stand behind me because I'm the qualified candidate for Attorney General who won't be an embarrassment to Kansas.
Tony Mattivi: I’m the Republican with experience to be Kansas’ next attorney general The candidate says his GOP rivals would be out of their league. | Opinion
We have to be able to protect ourselves from the people coming into our country who want to harm us. Whether it's foreign bad actors coming over to try to steal our intellectual property, or drug dealers bringing fentanyl into our country to kill our kids. we have to have strong borders. As Attorney General, I will be tough on those who come to America illegally and harm our communities.
As a candidate for Attorney General, I have the support of law enforcement. As Attorney General, they will have mine.
ICYMI: On Sunday I appeared on The John Whitmer Show to ask for your vote for Attorney General. This race is between two career politicians angling for the next position, and me, a career prosecutor with courtroom experience putting terrorists, drug dealers and criminals behind bars. I never planned to run for office, but felt compelled to get involved to protect our state from federal overreach and limitations on your freedoms.
1-on-1 interview with Kansas AG Republican Attorney General candidate Tony Mattivi Tony Mattivi explains what he hopes to accomplish in the run for Kansas Attorney General
"When viewed in contrast to his peers, nobody's resume comes even close to clearly showing who's the most qualified for (the job of Kansas Attorney General). We need an actual law enforcement professional with a proven track record to take over this super-important job in state government." - Sage Hill, Vice President,
There is one man who has the experience and proven track record of prosecuting terrorists, drug dealers, spies and criminals in the courtroom - Me. I'm not a career politician, and I won't back down when the woke mob comes crying. I'm asking for your vote in the Republican Primary for Attorney General on August 2nd.
ICYMI: Catch my interview with Chris Stigall on KCMO Talk Radio where we talked about the post-Roe landscape in America today and about pushing back against the Biden Administration and its wrong-headed executive order concerning abortion.
The Constitution doesn't protect only popular speech, it protects ALL speech. As Attorney General, I will not be threatened or bullied by the thought police who attempt to silence Kansas voices.
