BACK TO SCHOOL TIP!

We know that drop-off and pick-up expectations can be confusing, especially if this will be your child's first year in a new building!

The maps below were created to help alleviate any confusion and to ensure the safety of our Cardinals. We ask that parents refer to the maps below to learn about entrances and exits at each building and where "bus only" lanes are located. Please call your child’s school with any questions.

CIS-https://bit.ly/3lfavON
CMS-https://bit.ly/3aVltnL
CHS-https://bit.ly/3le1SUG

Some things to note:
*Please ensure that your child has their face covering on prior to exiting your vehicle.

*Parents are asked to not walk their children into school or enter the building at the end of the day to pick-up their children and are to only use the car rider locations located on the maps above. Staff will be located at each entrance and throughout the building to assist students.

*Doors will not open at each building until the following times:
CECC-7:30 (Head Start), 7:55 (AM and Full Day Classes) and 11:55 (PM Classes)

Virtual learning day today for Clinton. Here's a activity for the kids to practice their math. Stay warm Cardinals.

Parents just some reminders. I personally resorted to putting all my clean masks in a ziplock in my work bag to keep them all together, might be handy for backpacks too.

We've missed you Cardinals, and are excited to see you tomorrow!

We hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable break and are ready to rock 2nd semester.

Before you leave the house in the morning, don't forget these three important things:
*Complete your daily health screening (checklist found here-https://clintoncardinals.org/UserFiles/Servers/Server_4285567/Image/District/Return%20to%20Learn/daily%20symptom%20checklist%20(1).pdf)
*Grab your mask
*Don't forget that water bottle

FRIENDLY REMINDER

We received a few questions from parents, asking if we have school on Monday. YES, next week is a 5-day week.

The original school calendar listed Monday as a Professional Development Day, but the calendar was amended at the July 27th Board of Education Meeting. The amended calendar is below. You can also find a printable version at this link: https://bit.ly/335ifMp

Have a great and safe weekend, Cardinals.

SEE YOU MONDAY!

SUMMER SCHOOL SAFETY SERIES

As the world around has changed over the past few months, it is important for the Clinton School District to follow the guidance of local, state and national health officials to protect the safety of our students and staff, and to also do our part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The guidance and advice we receive has led us to make some changes to our Summer School daily operations.

During the next few weeks, the District will be sharing some of the safety protocols and plans that are being used during Summer School. The plan is evolving daily, so please stay up-to-date by following our social media pages, and District website, www.clintoncardinals.org.

GENERAL SUMMER SCHOOL INFO:
Face-to-face summer school will be offered this year June 15-July 10 for students entering kindergarten-5th grade. Online options are available for CMS and CHS students and will be held June 3rd-last week of June (please contact CMS/CHS for more info). Students attending face-to-face summer school MUST BE ENROLLED BY JUNE 1ST to participate.
ENROLLMENT FORM: https://forms.gle/9gQTryoY4CAfMqgG9

SMALL CLASS SIZES:
One of the safety precautions the District is putting in place is to limit the number of students in a classroom. This year, classrooms will be limited to 12 students. Because of these smaller class sizes, it is very important that all parents enroll their children ASAP to help the District secure enough teachers. The District will also be utilizing all school buildings to help with social distancing.

CORE INSTRUCTION FOCUS:
The focus of this year’s Summer School curriculum will be on what students missed out on from not being in school during the 4th quarter. We are hopeful that this core instruction focus and smaller class sizes will help prepare our students with the skills they need to begin the new school year in August.

NEXT WEEK’S SUMMER SCHOOL SAFETY SERIES:
The District will go into detail about the changes being made to facilities to enhance the safety of our students and staff.

5th grade parents:
Generally we do a lesson on those testy locker combinations that the students will have next year at CMS. Unfortunately, we didn't get that done before spring break. There are a lot of YouTube videos that explain how to work them. If you have one for them to practice that would be even better just to get the feel. Fantastic book to explain grief to children. Great analogy kids tend to get.

Tune in tomorrow at 9am CST for a live reading. Grief is like a snowflake. Sometimes it comes one flake at a time. Other times, it comes like a blizzard. It always melts but it always comes back. ❤️
