Fndmental Films Project: reel #1.
Premiering in the spring of 2024, the RecUniversal Fndmental Films Project is a documentary, street part blend film series of skaters sharing their experiences with mental health complications, and the avenue of recovery skateboarding has given them. Our first film features , , and .
The goal of this project is to allow a platform for skateboarders to be open, empowering themselves and others. We bring awareness to mental health complications, promote vulnerability, and highlight the courage and talents of our skaters, both on and off the board. This projects’ purpose is to not only help the skaters in our films, but hopefully encourage anyone out there, whether they skateboard or not, to seek help if they need it.
For the film project, we created some t-shirts and griptape to sell. Sales will help us continue to bring this series to you, as well as promote our organization and the project! Please purchase if you can 🙏. Sizing is limited right now.
Special shoutouts to for the designs, for taking on this project, and all the filmers present and future that will help us put these together!
Let the filming commence!

Welp. Due to the San Diego hurricane coming 🙄 we are postponing this event until Sunday, September 10th.
Thought we could avoid this being inside. This event is indoors yes, however we were okay with rain, but not the projected 60mph winds that will ensue as well. Our goal is to keep our kids, families, and everyone who wanted to come out, safe and off the roads, as well as avoid mid-event blackouts and subpar attendance that would hurt us as well.
We apologize for any inconvenience to the people who have already signed up, and everyone else involved, and hope to see you there the September 10th instead. To anyone who signed up or purchased raffle tickets, let us know if you can no longer make the event.
We will leave this notice up through the old event date and repost following it.
We’re only a few days away! Register for Pushin’ The Positivity Skate Jam while you can!
Come skate indoors or spectate and escape the rain that’s in the forecast!

Created with the help from licensed mental health professionals, we’d like to formally introduce our Recover Through Recreation Sessions.
Designed to complement participants’ separate therapeutic journey, these small group programs, offer different perspectives and outlets than traditional therapy, using recreation, core mental health values, and discussions and reflections in order to provide participants more resources and tools to improve their mental health.
Lead by qualified facilitators, our sessions revolve around established core values, essential for good mental health. These values serve as the backbone of our sessions across all of our recreational offerings.
Our core values:
GRATITUDE
CONNECTION
COMMITMENT
RESILIENCE
COMPASSION
RADICAL ACCEPTANCE

❗️We’re doing a demo and giveaway for Pacific Beach Middle School…if we can raise enough funds❗️
Since November we’ve had an 8th grade helper, Alden, helping us with our skateboarding initiatives while fulfilling his 8th grade community service curriculum! As a last push before his presentation and reward for his efforts, we want to host a special event at his school, but need your help!
We’ve teamed up with pro skateboarder !ṧᾰ!ᾰℏ ꒻✺ℏℵṧ✺ℵ], and sponsors , , , and , to help bring this special bash on his presentation day after school!
We need to raise $2,000 in order to be able to host this, and as incentive, every $75 we raise, we will be able to give a kid a pro quality complete setup skateboard we will build with them at the event. Kids from the school can raise money themselves for a board, but any non skaters can also contribute to the fund and we’ll give a board to a kid who needs it!
Text “Alden” to 53-555, scan the QR code, or visit the link in !ṧᾰ!ᾰℏ ꒻✺ℏℵṧ✺ℵ] bio to contribute!
We are in talks to see if we can bring this to OB Elementary as well but for now please contribute to the PB Middle fund!
FREE SKATE CLINIC AND CONTESTS!
Since November we’ve had a special kid helping us out with our skateboarding initiatives for his 8th grade community service project.
February 25th is Alden’s .darin next installment with and benefitting RecUniversal! He organized the event (and designed the flyer) himself.
There will be a free beginner clinic at 1pm, and skate contests starting at 2pm held after, open to anyone under 18 for free. Everything will be at Memorial Skatepark.
Of course we’ll have prizes and giveaways 😊. Show up for the clinic or contests and skate!
