I've had some questions about the ecu in the S2000, its a maxxecu race. I built a jumper harness for it so that it plugs in to the stock wiring. It is necessary to build a "sub" harness to plug the pedal position sensor (black box by the driver side shock tower) and throttle body into. The factory dbw controller gets completely bypassed.
This harness also integrates into the oem can bus to get 4 wheel speeds from the abs module along with controlling the DCT Transmission via can bus.
There is a 2nd sub harness to plug in additional sensors (fuel pressure, oil pressure, ethanol content, lambda etc)
The ecu connector is the same as k-series so getting the ecu header to build the jumper harness was not a problem.
After breaking stock transmissions all year we finally got the DCT swap in the car and dialed in.

Turbo testing results...
The goal for the blue s2000 is great response while still making good enough power to keep up the fastest cars at the track.
The first graph shows the first turbo setup on the car (green line) which was a precision 5862 and the g25-550. I knew the 5862 wasnt going to be what I wanted so I didnt do much with it. With that turbo the boost control didnt work well, that's on a 7lb wastegate spring with boost creeping to 11psi. The g25-550 was running a solid 15psi.
The 2nd graph shows the g25-660 (blue) and the g25-550 (red) both at 15psi, the 3rd graph just adds in the g25-660 at 20psi. It's interesting that both turbos made the same power at the same boost even though the 660 has a 6mm bigger compressor wheel.
The overall boost response on the g25-550 is pretty insane, it builds boost nearly as fast as you move the throttle and will build full boost with the slightest application of throttle. This made boost control tuning critical to making the car drivable. I actually had to slow the turbo down at partial throttle otherwise the car was very difficult to drive smoothly. The g25-660 still has the quick spool with throttle application but it does take a little more throttle to get full boost. That actually made the car much easier and more predictable to drive.
The real test was on the track, the g25-660 was perfect on the track. At no point driving at VIR did I have to think about the fact that there was a turbo on the car, the power is perfectly predictable and the car is extremely easy to drive. The massive low end power made it so that gear selection was very forgiving. I could enter turn 1 in 4th gear and pull smooth and fast out of the turn at 3500-4000 rpm and not have to shift until coming out of turn 5. But if I wanted to go down to 3rd and wind it out I had the option, the g25-660 pulled to 8800rpm with ease. The g25-550 on track would at times feel like it was running out of steam and was a little more difficult to drive. The ~500rpm quicker spool was a little more fun on the street, but on track didnt make much difference because you're never really in the rpm range where that matters.
I'll be doing some changes to the fuel system and we'll see what we can max the g25-660 out at, at 525hp the 1200cc injectors are maxed out. Stay Tuned.
The setup on the car is as follows
2007 S2000
Pump E85 fuel
MaxxEcu Race Version
1200cc FIC Injectors
Ebay Fuel Surge tank with AEM 400lph pump
Ptuning Turbo Kit with air/water intercooler
Stock exhaust - Open wastegate dump
The g25 turbo's both had 0.92 ar housings, the 5862 had the 0.63ar housing.

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday
Made a short video about the s2000, sorry about the wind noise at the end, recording using the Tunerview recording feature which doesn't really give me a way to filter that out.
