We're just heading to the studio to begin rehearsals for Stand up to Cancer live! We can't wait to play live again after two years away from the stage. We're also thrilled to have One Last Secret's Wez Scott joining us for this show.

We'd love for you to join us for a night of live music featuring Andy K, Mannequin Mannequin and FaR. Tickets are on sale now from the venue or online at www.bellfield.bigcartel.com and are priced at £5. All proceeds will be donated to Cancer Research UK.

1 in 2 people in the UK born after 1960 will be diagnosed with some form of cancer during their lifetime, We think this is absolutely unacceptable and that much more needs to be done in the fight against this horrific disease.

Many of the charities currently researching treatments and cures rely solely on donations and fundraisers and with this in mind Velvet Moon are proud to announce Stand up to Cancer Live! A night of live music in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The event will be held at the Bellfield Tavern, Kilmarnock on March 17th 2017. Tickets will be priced at £5 with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK and are available online now on the Tavern's online ticket store at http://www.bellfield.bigcartel.com/ and will be available from the venue in the next week or so.

Kicking us off on the night will be Kilmarnock's own twelve string guitar maestro Andy Kerr. Andy is one of Kilmarnock's best singer-songwriters and I'm certain you'll enjoy his music as much as I do.

Following Andy will be one of Ayrshire's newest bands to the scene Mannequin Mannequin. Following their debut EP release earlier this year, Mannequin Mannequin have been making waves in the local music scene throughout Scotland including playing Glasgow's legendary King Tut's Wah Wah Hut.

As a musician you meet some great people and every now and then play on the same bill as a band that leaves an impression on you. One of those bands is Edinburgh's FaR who've been one of my favorite bands since hearing them a couple of years ago. They'll be coming to the Tavern to play at Stand up to Cancer Live and I can't wait to hear them play again!

Last but not least Velvet Moon will be returning to the stage after a long hiatus to end the night. We'll be playing with a slightly altered line-up including One Last Secret frontman Wesley Scott standing in on bass for us.

Many thanks to Amanda Robinson for allowing us to host SU2C Live! at the Bellfield Tavern and for all her help and support in organizing the ticket store and event page. Amanda has been a great ambassador for local live music in recent years and has turned the Bellfield Tavern into the place to play for some of the UK's best and biggest touring bands.
