We welcome for October our resident Methas Chantawongs. He is a Bangkok-based art practitioner who was born in 1994. He graduated with a B.F.A. in Film and Digital in 2016, then started working as a sound composer along with video making especially in the field of experimental works. His art projects were exhibited and he won awards internationally.

Our Resident for July is Błażej Kotowski, a sound artist, an independent curator, a researcher, and a programmer, originally from Poland, currently based in Linz, Austria. A significant part of his creative output is solely devoted to producing music. Through different monikers, he explores its various aesthetic forms. He has released his music in various formats in Audile Snow (PL), Vaknar (DE), Trust Collective (US), and Audio. Visuals. Atmosphere. (BE). His works were written about, among others, in Toneglow, Igloomag, and in Noise Receptor Journal.
In the field of technology, he is mostly interested in the intersection of music and AI and all the outcomes that arise from the synthesis of these fields.

We welcome for June our new residents the duo Carga Pesada. The mexican artist duo consists of Anaís Tudón and Asaí Balboa. They were both born in Monterrey, Mexico, a city that calls itself industrialized. Besides being immersed in a business and working culture that is mostly focused on industries, they decided to study Visual Arts and analyze situations from the lens of artistic practice, considering vehicles, their mobility, structures, and infrastructures exploration to talk about aspects that draw their attention and that they think are worth discussing. As a team, they use curatorial, artistic, and interdisciplinary practice to create projects together taking shared circumstances as a platform for creation.

Our April resident is Fabricio Lamoncha, an artist, designer, researcher from Spain. For the residency he follows his current research interest on interspecies collaborations. How can we interact with our local cricket neighbours and what role does commonplace technologies play for the creation of new ethical agendas?

Reggaeton Cricket Party gives the possibility to interact with our local cricket neighbors. The original reggaeton tracks have been pitch-shifted and mixed with original cricket sound recordings. Even though we can not understand them, we can interact with them through this customised reggaeton compilation which has been specially produced for a cricket audience! Therefore this project is meant to be listened to on loudspeaker in the garden or any green area nearby.

Our February resident is Daphne Xanthopoulou is a Greek sound artist and dj, based between Barcelona and Linz. They have published music in Zabra Records(PT), tssstapes(IT), Eminent Observer(US), Sonospace(PT) and Crystal Mine(ES) and contributed with feminist fiction and poetry to A) GLIMPSE) OF)(GR), Golfo Magazine(UK), Teflon(GR) and Thrice(GR).

We are very happy to announce czech-based sound artist mʊdʌki as our November resident. She is a DJ, event organiser and music producer from Minsk, Belarus. Since 2015 she is devoting her work to sound, often in correlation with exploring the subconsciousness. By using authentic sound sources, author‘s recordings and the usage of primitive hardware, her performances are extending improvisational methods, embracing space for randomness to make each show bear peculiar energy. Her aim is to embrace an intensive feeling for living in the moment.
As a DJ, her mixes are very energetic, presenting a wide range of genres: dub/ steppas/ oldschool dubstep/ modern jungle/ juke/ footwork/ breakcore/ tribe/ mental/ tekno/ ambient/ idm/ avant-garde/ experimental. The genre doesn't matter, the vibe and selection are the details that make it work.
