We’re back with another dinner At Our Table!
Thursday, October 3rd

Our next gathering has a nod to where our co-founder grew up - Virginia. We’re taking a modern yet authentic approach to local styles and ingredients.

This dinner features the work of Chef Rachael Harris, from Staunton, VA. Her ethos revolves around building community, fostering connections, and utilizing honest, local ingredients. Her culinary influences range from Mediterranean to traditional Appalachian fare—creating menus that are often as authentically Virginian as it gets.

The menu is giving Autumn in Shenandoah. Four courses of seasonal ingredients, paired with wines from Commonwealth Crush, our favorite VA custom crush facility built with small producers in mind.

This event also acknowledges & celebrates the contributions of women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, who are often overlooked and under-appreciated. To further support the community, proceeds from this dinner will go to Co-Fermented, an organization dedicated to creating awareness and facilitating representation within the wine industry.

**Château Routas Rosé, 2023** Provence, France
This region has been producing wine for over 2600 years, and rosé accounts for over 85% of wine production. Chateau Routas created a rosé that embodies the flavors, aromas and overall feeling of what wine enthusiasts love from the pale pink treat.

**Isola Del Satiro Rosso 2021** Sicily, Italy
Made using two native grapes, a blend of Nero d’Avola and Perricone, the vibrant flavors and bold aromas reflect the rich history and passionate spirit of the region.

*Bodegas Bhilar “Lágrimas de Bhilar” Garnacha 2022** Navarra, Spain
This wine is rich, and youthful—fruity notes of ripe berries and spices, allowing you to experience what a visit is like in Navarra.

Some say cider is more beer than wine, and while this may be true for some, the Intrus has a character that only the traditional winemaking process can give - acidity, fruit and a delightful fusion of flavors and versatility

**Andeluna Torrontes, 2022**
Argentina offers a sensory experience using the Torrontes grape. Each sip shows off the cool, mountainous region from which the grape is grown. Bursting with floral, peach, and apricot notes and an acidic spark, it’s a great Riesling alternative.

Introducing our newest addition: At Our Table dinner series

We’re combining our passion for wine & gathering to create a unique experience for connection and community building. Each dinner will feature a creative chef in the DC area and will include wine pairings by yours truly. As with our curated selection of wine & home decor, we’re putting extra effort in showcasing the talents of creators who are of color and identify as women.

Our first dinner will be At Our *Community* Table and take place alfresco at a secret location in Northeast DC on Thursday May 23rd. The multi-course family-style dinner will be led by chef Dionne and feature foods from the African diaspora. Think: oxtail, mackerel, jollof, watermelon poké, mango gazpacho.

Dionne has a long-standing, steadfast love for the DC community. She is a health advocate and survivor of gun violence here in DC. She pours into our community by working to feed & take care of our youth and will bring her creativity to our table. To match that passion, our co-owner & sommelier, Monique, has selected 4 wines that will pair perfectly with our meal.

To further support the DC community, a portion of our proceeds will go to whose focus is on changing the norm and narrative of gun violence in communities of color.

California (the Yuzu is from Japan)
This (now sold out practically everywhere) bright and fresh bubbly is absolutely “spring in a bottle”. This piquette style wine is a blend of Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris, and Yuzu. It’s crisp, sugar free, and low alcohol.

**Domaine Rimbert vin De Table Le Petite Cochon Rosé, 2022**
Languedoc-Rousillon, France
The wines of Domaine Rimbert are renowned for offering more on the fruit and freshness than spice and power, a balance that winemaker Jean-Marie enjoys. Vibrant pink in the glass with deep scents of ultra-ripe red cherries, guava, fig and a smoky note of sweet herbs, and blood orange.

**La Patience Coteaux du Pont du Gard Rosé, 2022**
Southern France
This vineyard takes its name from a wild, aromatic Mediterranean herb called “la patience” that can be found throughout the vineyards. Breathing life into each vine, this rosé is created using two of the most notable grapes in France—Grenache’s fruit and spiciness and Cinsault’s drinkability—this wine is a natural companion for your porch and picnics.

**Afro-Boho Planter**
This large, hand-painted planter + saucer features a simple brown and white Afro-boho design. This looks great on table tops and shelves, and is footed to avoid slipping or scratching surfaces.

**Finca Torremilanos Montecastrillo Tempranillo, 2020**
Ribera del Duero, Spain
 Winemaker Pilar Pérez Albéniz along with her two sons, Ricardo and Vicente, have created the first certified biodynamic winery in the appellation. A deep and vibrant wine with an alluring cardinal color. Exuding earth, fresh flowers, and intensity, the wine is fantastically balanced between its acidity and smooth tannins. Dark fruits, herbal, and minerality all blend and lead to a long beautiful finish.

**Château Haut Lavigne, Côtes de Duras Blanc, 2022**
Côtes de Duras, France
Winemaker Nadia Lusseau’s passion for sustainability and innovation can be found in every bottle she crafts. This Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon blend is created with meticulous care and respect for the land, expressing the true essence of the terroir. Fruit forward with notes of crisp green apple, ripe mango, and a rich medium-bodied texture.

**Château Peybrun, Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux, 2020**
South West, France
Inheriting the vineyard from her father, Catherine de Loze pours her heart and soul into each bottle. She creates wine that embodies the tradition of old Bordeaux with flavors that reflect the rich terroir of the region. With deep ruby hues and luscious notes of ripe, jammy berries (smells sweet, like a berry crumble), this is a dry, juicy wine—full of red fruits and bright tannins.

Crafted from hand-blown glass with intricate tamarind leaves embedded along the sides and finished with a hint of golden foil. It adds a touch of elegance to any decor.

We love the expressive wines coming out of Loire Valley and this 100% Chinon (Cabernet Franc) is no exception. Handpicked grapes from 35-40 year old vines, this sustainably made and unfined/unfiltered wine is so fresh and so clean 🤭 juicy, rich textured, with dark fruit flavors and high acid. It’s racy, ripe and bold.
