The Amputee Coach
Empowering AMPUTEES to Walk Well, Be Fit & Enjoy Life
Today marks 7 years since the accident in 2015. I never expected the obstacles the accident would bring, however reflecting back today, it’s not the obstacles that stand out the most. Instead, it’s the incredible opportunities.
A pivotal part of my journey has been the opportunity to try. From my flight instructors at the helping me to return to the air, to my teammates and coaches at encouraging me to step out side my comfort zone, the life changing accident and the amazing support from so many people has provided opportunities that I never imagined.
More recently, the incredible privilege and opportunity to join the team is also something I never expected. From the young kid standing at the air show fence to the earliest days in hospital wondering if I’d ever fly again, I never thought I would be where I am now.
And in reality, if the accident didn’t happen, I probably wouldn’t be. I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like, but I know for certain that without those obstacles along the way, none of the lessons, the experiences and the incredible opportunities would’ve happened either.
7 years ago I wouldn’t have believed that accident could change my life for the better, but I firmly believe it has. I’m incredibly grateful for the obstacles, the support, the belief of others, and the numerous opportunities I’ve been fortunate to have along the way.
Thank you to everyone who has assisted me over the last 7 years - I can’t wait to see what lies ahead!
Bring on Stump Day 2023!

Crushing goals!
Tom set himself a goal to run 5km within a year of his accident, he put in hard work and was training at the gym 3 times a week to build up his strength.
A year from his accident, Tom ran the 5km 🤩 he said he was "super happy that I've managed to get this far and fulfil a personal challenge I set from a hospital bed (06/06/2021), when I knew nothing about the journey that lay ahead. I hope this inspires others to believe that anything is possible if you want it bad enough!"
Go Tom, we are so proud of you!
Always exciting to work with new technology!😄🦿
