Acknowledge a Duxbury Volunteer!

This summer you’re invited to look around and recognize an amazing Duxbury volunteer. You generally don’t need to look further than your local social circle to see a neighbor or friend who volunteers with a local non-profit or on a town committee and makes a real difference in our community. Duxbury residents step up every day to lead town projects, mentor and coach our youth, beautify our public lands, and more.

We're accepting nominations until August 8 and the review process will culminate in an inspiring and fun Awards dinner in early October. If you’ve spied a volunteer making a difference in our community, consider recognizing them by nominating them for the 2024 Duxbury Community Volunteer Awards.

There's still time to nominate a group or organization in town that really stepped up its volunteer efforts this year! The deadline has been moved to this Friday, July 2 at 5pm.

The Duxbury Community Volunteer Award celebrates and honors
those, who through their volunteer efforts, exemplifies the best in
us; a sense of caring and responsibility for others, a commitment to
service, and a demonstration of citizenship.

This year, due to the Pandemic, we have found ourselves in a unique situation. Our community, like so many others, has been forced to respond to this crisis by rearranging and reorganizing
our lives. The commitment to volunteerism this year has been incredible. Duxbury volunteers have selflessly given countless hours to the town and people of Duxbury during this difficult time. Please consider nominating worthy groups and organizations for the 2021 Duxbury Community Volunteer Awards.
