"Capital Punishment is one of those albums that stayed in constant rotation growing up. What Pun was doing lyrically and the pockets he was finding while still maintaining commercial viability on street and mainstream records blew my mind as a kid. That s**t made me want to rap and really set the bar early for what was possible within Hip-Hop. Looking back, that s**t really held up. Almost 25 years later, and Capital Punishment is still on another level. "You Came Up," "Glamour Life," "Boomerang" "I'm Not A Player," and "Super Lyrical" are some of my favorite records."

I became a Wu fanatic after 36 Chambers, Tical and Dirty’s album, but Cuban Linx was the one that changed everything for me. This was the album that made me want to start making beats. production was so grimey and cinematic; like nothing I’d heard before. Not one weak joint on here, even 25 years later. “Guillotine”, “Knowledge God” & “Incarcerated Scarfaces” might be 3 of the greatest beats ever made and and might be one of the greatest unnoficial rap duos of all time. -
