Today was the last day of the second term.

Congratulations to all the learners who passed, and to those who didn't, this is not the end. Continue to stay motivated and work hard. You have two terms left to improve.

A message from one of our ex Kassies learners, Brentonio Loops:

I'm just a boy who played touchies at Kassies, every day during break in front of the workshop of Mr. Marais (lol).
In 2018, I started off playing touch rugby for a local team called "ninjas" based in Ravensmead. Four years later, I decided to challenge my touch abilities and play trails in Cape Town for provincial touch at the Western Cape Touch Association (WCTA). That same year, I got an opportunity to represent Eastern Province Touch
Association (EPTA), playing in their men's B squad at South Africa's biggest touch
rugby tournament (SIPT). The tournament took place in Johannesburg for 3 days, where we won the Mens B squad division (Gold medal).
Later that year (2022), I got another opportunity to play for one of the best touch rugby clubs known not just in South Africa but worldwide - Amazing Galaxy Warriors.
They are not just an ordinary touch rugby club but a professional touch rugby team competing in the biggest beach touch rugby series in the world. For 30 years, Amazing Galaxy Warriors have been playing under the PRO-division this is an indication of the great achievements the club has reached. We ended up in 5th place in the Pro-division that season as it is always challenging and unpredictable. "Any team could be a winner."
Last year, I went to trials for the possible selection of playing for the Western Cape touch association (WCTA), as I really wanted to represent my own province at a provincial level in touch rugby. I was then selected for men's A Squad to represent them at (SIPT) in Durban. The most toughest division at SA's biggest national touch tournament. However, we lost but ended up 3rd place in the men's A division with a (bronze medal) playing against provincial touch players from Sharks touch (KZN), Gauteng touch (GTA), Blou bulle (Pretoria)and the
list continues.
Today, I'm a provincial sponsored touch rugby athlete and sports brand ambassador Performance Sports. I'm also giving back to my community by sponsoring my local touch rugby team and other teams in the Ravensmead community with sports equipment such as Grip socks, cooling towels, and a variety of other sport products. Recently, I've been selected to coach and work alongside levy (stormers skills coach) in training and attending the Junior touch rugby team for the Junior National Tournament occuring soon in Cape Town, this September.
This has been my touch rugby journey as far as I'm still aiming for going bigger
and better. It doesn't stop here, so go out there, people, and make your dream a reality. Nothing is impossible even the word itself says I'm possible. Challenge yourself and channel your mindset to be the best version of who YOU can be.
