There will be wonderful raffle baskets and handmade baby quilts to win and a live auction for the opportunity to win a stay in a beautiful mountain home, besides enjoying an afternoon of song, dance and performing arts from our local youth! Dont miss it! Tickets available at The State Theater. All proceeds go to the Homemaker Program of Catholic Charities.

Get your tickets! The Catholic Social Service Guild’s Spring Fund Raiser is April 7, 2024. It will be a fun musical event of dance, song and performing arts, featuring the wonderful young talent of the area. All proceeds will go to the Homemaker Program of Catholic Charities to assist elder citizens in their homes. There will be beautiful raffle baskets and auctioning a stay at mountain cabins. Join us in supporting our local studios, our elder citizens in need and enjoy a lovely afternoon of music all at the same time!

We had a wonderful meeting this morning at The State Theater’s Intermission lounge! Our guest speaker was Modesto Mayor, Sue Zwahlen. She gave such an insight into her regular day’s busy schedule of meetings, conferences, appointments and activities, it’s hard to imagine when she has time to sleep! Very interesting and eye-opening!

The Azores Band of Escalon was so generous to the Guild last year in performing for our Spring fundraiser. Please support them. This sounds like a fun evening to support their cause!

January, 2024 will start the new two year terms for our new and continuing officers of the Catholic Social Service Guild. Installation ceremony was performed at our meeting today. Candy Bennett, continuing President. Sally Egan, First Vice President. Second Vice Presidents, Maria Dusi and Pixie Kinser.
Joan Hart, Secretary. Noemi Ewalt, Treasurer. The rest of the Board is rounded out by Malissa Souza, Spirituality, Membership, Pat Rae, Sunshine, Yvonne McLoughlin , Historian, Joan Hart.
We will continue our mission to support The Homemaker Program of Catholic Charities of Stanislaus County through our fundraising efforts!

Catholic Charities Executive Director, Martha Arevalos and Director of the Homemaker program of Catholic Charities in Modesto, Roseanna Valazquez gave us an update on the program and brought our gifts of 115 towels, to the clients

Such a nice Christmas meeting today!
Beautiful setting, delicious food, good friendships, lovely Mass, and installation of new officers. We were able to give 115 gifts of towels to the Homemaker Program clients with more to come. Good progress is being made on our Spring Fund Raiser. Fun day!
