They do a great job with their coverage. Over a decade of building their program!
Before Friday night's varsity girls basketball game against Williamsport, we had the chance to recognize and celebrate the senior members of Media Club who are behind the photos, live streams, former film crew for football, pregame lineup light shows for volleyball and basketball and all the other cool things we bring you. They were also the first Media Club group to build a float to be in the Mummers Parade (twice).
This was the first time in the club's 13 years of activity that they were able to hold their own senior night ceremony. This group presented the idea last spring as juniors and thanks to our strong partnership with the athletic department, we were able to make it happen.
Each member received their own Media Club jacket as a gift in addition to a senior poster created by the club's underclassmen. Most of these seniors are members of the Quill & Scroll Honor Society for High School Journalism. In May, they will receive a cord to wear during graduation.
This group - in addition to their underclassmen not pictured here - has achieved so many amazing things in high school, not just in Media Club. Their future is very bright I (Mr. Leather, the advisor) could not be any more proud of each one of them. They helped achieve many things that I once dreamed of as a student member myself years ago.
It's only February. That means there's plenty of time to continue building and trying new things that was once impossible.
