During my time buying and selling horses I realised how valuable my veterinary degree is in many ways 🩺:

✔️ Developing that ‘eye’ for a good horse 👀

✔️ Having the ability to assess soundness on video and review x-rays prior to viewing saving precious time and money going to look at unsuitable horses 💷

✔️ Picking up issues when viewing a horse whether it be a subtle lameness, a sarcoid in the wrong place or poor confirmation 🔎

✔️ The ability to interpret findings of a vetting with a realistic perspective of both vet and rider/horse owner 🐎

I set up EquiSource to assist my clients with their search in ways other agents aren’t able to do, ultimately making the process of buying horses more efficient and cost effective.

So for those who don’t know me I thought I’d introduce myself 👋🏻. I’m Sophie, founder of , and here’s a bit about me:

“Horses have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, so becoming an equine vet was a natural career choice. I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011 and went straight into equine vetting. However my real enthusiasm is for riding, particularly producing young horses for eventing. It is a lifestyle that has honed my “eye for a horse” and from where my passion for sourcing and producing quality horses evolved.

I set up EquiSource to help make buying and selling horses easier for riders at all levels. With a wealth of experience as a competitive rider and owner alongside my equine veterinary knowledge, I am uniquely placed to guide you smoothly through the horse buying or selling journey from start to finish. I work with the utmost discretion and my clients are guaranteed an honest and professional service.”
