The time has come for something new. Even at 11 years old, I knew I wanted to do the viola differently. I started .music last year and I feel like I’m finally pursuing my true purpose—forming an R&B and Hip-Hop String Quartet.

Going live March 31st, this EP is something special. Our Hip-Hop and R&B reimaginations will be the most intricate and virtuosic arrangements you’ve ever heard. We also have a launch show to be announced shortly!

2022 was everything. I started a quartet, played in my first Blockbuster film, lost my Mimi 😔, subbed for Hamilton, and seeded some profound relationships.
After this year, I finally feel like I’ve found my tribe, and I can’t wait to build more dope things in 2023! 🙌🏽

One of my core bucket list items has officially been checked off: having my name in the credits of a major motion picture! 🙌🏽
My mom and I used to bond by watching movies together. She used to say “hear that orchestra, Drew-Mo? That could be you one day!!” Ever since then, it has been my mission to make that dream a reality. I did it, momma 🥰
I want to thank and for giving me the opportunity to work with some of the most gifted musicians in the world. This project has expanded my understanding of how deep and vibrant art can be. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life!
I also wanted to thank maestros for their indispensable leadership from the podium and for the breathtaking music. 🙏🏽🔥

Way back when I was at Juilliard, I made a cover of “Hello” for a project in my entrepreneurship class. I would have never imagined that 5 years later, I’d have the opportunity to perform with in the flesh!!! I’m thankful, mind blown, and overwhelmed! 🙌🏽🔥

Every once in a while, I come a across a song that stops me dead in my tracks. I was driving on a rare, rainy day in Santa Monica when the Spotify algorithm delivered it to me. This song feels like a long-forgotten memory that doesn’t belong to me. So weird.
But it resonated, and I love it. This is “The Word II” by Shigeo Sekito. It’s from a 1975 album called Special Sound Series Vol. 2: The Word. Some of you may recognize this melody and attribute it to Mac DeMarco’s iconic song “Chamber of Reflection,” which was 100% inspired by this song! After practicing this piece for a few hours, I too am feel profound i͙n͙s͙p͙i͙r͙a͙t͙i͙o͙n͙ 🙌🏽
Not to mention…it sounds like it was MADE for the viola, right?! 🤯
