This Saturday we celebrated Iharaia turning 16 🎉 the first birthday we have had outside of the hospital and it was surrounded by good vibes, whanau and love ♥️

Our theme was formal and I can confirm we all smashed it! Shout out to our best dressed adults & babies 🫶🏼

ModernWelly Photobooth highly recommend if you are looking for a affordable, good quality, easy to operate booth! We managed to get so many photos of our whanau! We were able to customise/send photos on-site, do boomerangs & gifs 🎉 this booth was a huge hit for our event, thank you again!

Thanks again whanau for coming, he enjoyed every moment and it wouldn’t of been the way it was without you’s!! We know it’s one he’ll forever remember

Hey whanau! Today's a special day because it's mouse's 16th Birthday! He's been resting up in bed today. Iharaia now has his diabetes pump on, We are on day two and he's doing great 😊 We currently have fortnightly scans on his liver and weekly bloods n doctor reviews! This will be the new normal for us for the time being 😁 will update when I can.

Please continue to get amongst his raffles when ever you are able to help fundraise the funds to tick off his bucketlist! 😇

Today iharaia got a visit from some friends from the make a wish foundation who brang him a new gaming set to start the year off right! Happy is an understatement! How blessed.

Iharaia is still in and out of hospital here in the Hutt recieving treatment and reviewing all medical illnesses he has. Continuing his great fight.

Been a bit quiet lately, been enjoying some family time during this Christmas holiday. I'm sure you all have been busy too! hope it was a great Christmas and new year full of laughter, good food and great company with family 🫠

We're currently back home in wellington, receiving treatment here in the Hutt.

As dad had posted before our tap procedure didn't go through as it could and the doctors had exhausted all possible options for us. Currently we are at a standstill. Transfusions are our only option as of now. Mouse currently has 1 working vein in the liver because a few months back he had blocked 2 of the 3 we had open. We have 1 left. With that being said our hope and faith will remain the same.

He has a few cool things coming up which is his make a wish foundation coming to meet him to grant him a wish, we all know iharaia loves his gaming so he has his list set for that.

I will try to update more when I get a chance. Thank you all for your support and love. We appreciate it so much.

It's been a few days since our lil mighty had his operation to do the tipping procedure on his liver. Unfortunately whanau the procedure didn't go the way we had hoped it would which means there's not much more doctors can do for my lil mightys liver. This doesn't mean we're going to lose him any time soon just means time is limited and unpredictable.

So moving forward we will be working closely with the palliative care team on how to manage his asities build up and clotting problems. So today @ 1300 the lil mighty will head back into theater to put a Vieness port in his chest this will allow us to take blood and give I.V meds without all the pricking and prodding.

This management plan is something we've done in the past with the lil mighty during his first liver transplant and gave us 7 years of life with him till we got a second liver transplant.
Tho the journey ahead will be tough and long we are hopeful and confident we will get another 7+ years with our lil mighty.

Morning whanau! Happy Tuesday.

this morning iharaia had a cool catch up with his siblings over video call 🫠 Miss them all so much.

The sad news is we won't be home before the 19th. we will stay here until his procedure. We're hoping we will be able to be home with the kids for Christmas but at this point there's nothing set in stone.

Iharaia is still progressing at a good rate, fluid slightly coming down which is great news.
Will update more on the procedure as we get closer to the 19th.

Hey Whanau.

Iharaia is a little grumpy today. But on the upside we may be home for the weekend (fingers crossed) He's still dealing with alot of other problems such as his fluid build up. Before coming into the hospital he weighed 45kgs. He now weighs 55kgs which is just fluid. We need to shift the fluid and drain it to make sure he's comfortable enough for the flight home. If not we will stay until his TAP operation on the 19th. That is what our main goal is to hopefully have him out of hospital for abit before his operation. 🤍

Appreciate everyone for there continuous love and support they've shown him. Can't wait to have him home and healthy so we can start ticking off his bucket list!

Hey Whanau, happy Tuesday.

Abit of a long update ahead, we've met with the doctors on next steps for Iharaia and here's what they've came up with.

With all things coming to be stable as in, fluid/liver/kidneys/diabetes. they have given us a option for the 19th December he will have a procedure called the "TAP" it's a liver bypass thing which will help take some pressure off the liver. This isn't a cure for his liver clotting problems. This is simply a way for us to keep him here with us all. Iharaia does no longer qualify for another liver transplant if needed. However that can be reviewed in sometime in the future if we see improvements within his other sicknesses.

Iharaia is also just about to be registered back on palliative care again. Palliative care is a team (organisation) that assist people of all ages who have a life limiting illness. (they support in all types of ways. A common thing many may know of is called the make a wish foundation. They're incredibly supportive during these times.

Morning whanau, hope everyone's had a good weekend.

Mouse has continued to progress well. His liver blood count is trending in the right direction and still flowing. His kidneys are making a good steady recovery which is amazing as doctors weren't too hopeful this time last monday.

His Myloprolifter (Cancer) is dormant n steady. As for his diabetes it's still a work in progress. Over all whanau things are moving forward in a positive way!

Today's plans are Ultrasound,
CT scan and Albumin transfusion.

Doctors are confident well be home by Christmas to be with family! If all continues to go smoothly in the right direction! Will keep the updates coming fam continue the love please thank you!

Hey Whanau!

Iharaia is now on the ward and no longer in ICU. We will be having a meeting on Monday to go over a plan. Hes took a really hard hit and it will take him a while to come back to his normal self. Taking things slowly with him❤️

Health wise he's showing small improvements. Continuous blood draws and scans are made to insure he's trending in the right direction! Still a lot of work to do but we're in a better spot with him than we were a few days ago and I can only beleive we will continue to get better!

Afternoon all, Iharaia is now off his breathing tube and now aware. Not quite awake, but aware as of now! Will take some time for him to catch up on what's been going on within his body, So resting for now.

Hoping to speak to the doctors soon on what's the next step for him will update you all when the times right thank you whanau. ❤️

Been a good day. Iharaia had a scan this morning to check on the flow of his blood in the vein they had unblocked last night. Which was great.

The kidneys are showing small improvements 😀 We are now weaning him off the coma medication, awaiting on him to wake up when he's ready.
Still a way to go but things are looking much brighter ahead! Again thank you for your continuous support!

Hey whanau, thought I'd share a quick update of last night.

Iharaia went into an emergency operation last night in the early hours, to unblock his last vein to his liver because it had blocked, The operation was successful. The vein was unblocked and he had a stable rest of the night.

Iharaia still remains in a coma, he still has kidney failure but we're hoping to see some improvement today and get a plan from the doctors.

Today is a new day and we will keep up the good fight. Thank you for the support and prayers! Please continue to send your love ❤
