Fellow Citizens,
𝙺𝙰𝙱𝚆𝙴, 𝙹𝚄𝙽𝙴 11, 2024: This afternoon His Excellence the President of the Republic of Zambia Mr Hakainde Hichilema sent us to deliver a message of condolences to Bishop Clement Mulenga SDB and the entire family of the Roman Catholic Church in Kabwe Diocese over the loss of Rev Fr Edwin Ricky Chiselwa Mwale who until his untimely death was the Parish Administrator at Sacred Heart in Kabwe.
The Head of State is deeply saddened by the death of Rev Fr Mwale, and has described it as a loss not only to the immediate family, the Catholic Church in Kabwe Diocese, the people of Central Province but to the nation as at large, owing to the number of lives he had touched in his 21 years of Priesthood.
The President also notes that the void caused by this death will be hard to fill.
And in response, Bishop Clement Mulenga thanked President Hichilema for the gesture and wished him well.
Bishop Mulenga also assured President Hichilema and the New Dawn government of his, and the Catholic Church's prayers and support in any way possible.
Finally, I wish to take advantage of this opportunity to commend the people of Kabwe and Central Province for turning out in large numbers as we bade farewell to Rev Fr Mwale.
On behalf of Provincial Administration and indeed on my own behalf, I would like to thank everyone of us for the support, unity and love exhibited during the funeral and burial of Rev Fr Mwale.
This is as it should be.

WE MOURN WITH THE PEOPLE OF MALAWI ON THE LOSS OF DR CHILIMA AND 9 OTHERS
I wish to convey my heart condolences to our Malawian brothers and sisters on the untimely death of their Republican Vice President Dr Chilima and nine other who perished in a plane crush that went missing yesterday in that country.
On behalf of the people of Central and indeed on my own behalf, I wish to say that we stand with the people of Malawi during these difficulty times.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and we pray that God Almighty may Grant you (individually and collective as a nation) strength and comfort during these hard times.
May The Souls of the Departed Rest In Peace.

Fellow Citizens,
Waking up to this video by our young learners from Mukalashi School in Chibombo District is not only humbling but also encouraging to us as the New Dawn administration, to do more for our citizens.
Alleviating poverty among communities through education and enhanced citizen participation in Economic activities tops President Hakainde Hichilema's agenda as Head of State for this Nation.
While others choose to remain blind and refuse to see the impact of government policies on our majority citizens, such feedback renews our energies to do even more for the people who trusted President Hichilema and his team with the affairs of this great Republic.
Good morning and enjoy your....

Fellow Citizens,
𝙺𝙰𝙱𝚆𝙴, 𝚂𝙰𝚃𝚄𝚁𝙳𝙰𝚈 08/06/2024: As some of you may be aware, last evening Kabwe District reported a case of riotous behavior at Kwame Nkrumah University, where some students took to the streets in protest of prolonged power outage as the institution.
You may also wish to know that this situation is not unique to Kwame Nkrumah University alone but is a matter of national concern, of course largely caused by the effects of climate change.
Yesterday's protest at the University is said to have left a trail of damages to school properties which include broken windowpanes and some security lights.
As at now, no arrests have been made but preliminary investigations point to some students vying for Union leadership positions as being part of the master minders of this riot.
The public may wish to know that the institution runs three industrial Generators with one assigned to the East Campus, the other at the Main Campus, while the Hostels across the road also have one.
Unfortunately, failure by the one at the Main Campus (due to over loading which led to it over heating) sparked the protest among students.
However, I am glad to announce that working with all relevant stakeholders, we have managed to restore order and tranquility at the University, while focusing our energies on more sustainable solutions to this challenge such as the Green Energy.
But just to remind our students at Kwame Nkrumah University and other learning Institutions within the Province including the general public that the New Dawn administration under His Excellence President Hakainde Hichilema being a listening government prefers dialogue over lawlessness in any given situation.
And as the President has always guided, "anyone who involves themselves in acts of lawlessness for whatever reason, IS ON THEIR OWN..."
Be reminded that as a country, we have enough Laws that can be used to deal with any sort of lawlessness regardless of who is involved, my hope that as students, you will not find yourselves on the wrong side of the law.
Good morning.

𝙺𝙰𝙱𝚆𝙴, 𝚂𝙰𝚃𝚄𝚁𝙳𝙰𝚈 08/06/2024: On behalf of government in Central Province and indeed on my own behalf, I wish to extend our profound condolences to Bishop Clement Mulenga SDB of Kabwe Catholic Diocese, the Priests, the Catholic Church and the Mwale family on the untimely death of Rev Fr Edwin Ricky Chiselwa Mwale.
What a coincidence that Rev Fr Mwale has died exactly 21-years after his ordination to Priesthood by His Grace Archbishop Medardo J. Mazombwe on 07/06/2003.
He is reported to have been involved in a fatal Road Traffic Accident during the evening of Friday June 07, 2024.
I remember Rev Fr Mwale as one of those who were dedicated to the call of Priesthood and put in his all to serve humanity from both within and outside the Catholic church family.
Until his death, Rev Fr Edwin Mwale served the Lord at Kabwe's Sacred Heart Parish.
I therefore wish to call upon all of us friends and the family including the church to unite and mourn the late Rev Fr Edwin Ricky Chiselwa Mwale with dignity the he deserves, and hope in the resurrection he himself believed and preached throughout his priesthood journey.
May His Soul Rest In Peace

Fellow Citizens,
As we begin this brand new day, I invite all of you to join me in wishing Dr Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia a Happy and memorable birthday which falls today.
Indeed this life has been a blessing not only to his immediate family and the UPND Party, but to Zambia as a whole.
This day is worthy celebrating owing to the countless number of lives Mr President has touched from both his private and public life.
Through his influence and effort, alot of young people today have had access to education at any level of their choice, women have been empowered with business opportunities, communities to have access to safe and clean drinking water, among other successes that come with the name HH.
You may wish to know that through his servant-hood kind of leadership as President of Zambia, Mr Hichilema has ensured that Zambia becomes a safe place for all of us to live in, by promoting the rule of law and declaring an end to violence through caderism.
Colleagues, indeed Zambia will never be the same again under this humble, selfless and hardworking President.
To you Mr President, we wish you well and many more happy and prosperous years ahead.

Fellow Citizens,
I just want to remind the public especially those of us who may be interested to participate in a government program we are calling 'Food for Work'.
Your government under His Excellence, the President of the Republic of Zambia Mr Hakainde Hichilema, in recognition of the scarcity of the staple food especially in most of our homes has decided to offload a substantial amount of maize from the Food Reserve Agency in order to mitigate the situation.
So for those interested, kindly get in touch with your Ward Development Committees (WDC), Area Councilors, MP, the DC and even your local authority for more information on how you can access this kind of empowerment.
Of course for our energetic young people, you will be asked to do abit of work before you access the Maize.
Please DO NOT ACCEPT TO DO WORK AT ANY ONE'S PRIVATE PROPERTY (HOUSE, FARM, BUSINESS PLACE ETC).
Work under this program shall be done in PLACES OF PUBLIC BENEFIT or INTEREST (Roads, Clinics, Markets, etc).
Remember, everyone of us qualifies to participate in this program and so report any suspicious dealings around this project.
Good morning to you all.

Fellow Citizens,
KABWE, MAY 23, 2025: I wish to express my concern at reports making rounds on social media to the effect that a named health facility in Kapiri mposhi District had it's services almost brought to a halt following some unruly behavior by community members towards health workers.
Unlike in the past, I wish to state that this government under President Hakainde Hichilema is on course in ensuring that members of the public do not receive compromised services especially when accessing from public institutions.
This therefore means government has put in place effective measures meant to address any such grievances members of the public might have against public service workers.
I therefore wish to remind our people in Kapiri mposhi District and throughout the boarders of Central Province on the need to desist from taking the law in their own hands, more so to use it against public service workers, as this has the potential to negatively affect service delivery even to innocent citizens, and if not we'll managed, can lead to loss of life and damage to public and/or private property.
And once we get to such levels, be assured that under my watch, there shall be no sacred cow as the law will be applied equally and squarely if we are to retain peace and order as we have always been known to be as a Province.
To my fellow privileged public service workers in Central Province, my appeal is for us to pay particular attention to any detail patterning to our work.
Anything short of that and a leizer fare kind of attitude towards work will not only bring about public uproar but might attract certain measures to show government disapproval of one's work culture.
But all in all, as Provincial Administration, we are saddened by the development and our officers are on the ground investigating the matter as we work towards restoring order and peace within the community around Mushimbili Health Facility.

Fellow Citizens,
KABWE, MAY 23, 2024 : The New Dawn administration under the able Leadership of His Excellence the President of the Republic of Zambia Mr Hakainde Hichilema has yet again scored in the area of Job creation with the latest launch of companies under the Zambia National Service (ZNS).
In case you missed it, ZNS will now run the following Companies which in turn will help address the high unemployment levels especially among our young people, while on the other hand helping to address the cost of mealie meal, transportation and energy (fuel).
Government will also introduce security services for hire to individual and cooperate entities, the manufacturing of blocks and pavers and also take up some of the mining activities within the country.
Through the Companies launched by the Zambia National Service, it is my hope and trust that majority of our young people will get jobs which in turn will help fight poverty at household levels.
- Eagles Alert Security.
- Eagles Plus Trading.
- Eagles Bus Services.
- Eagles Exploration and Minerals.
- Eagles Fuels and Lubricants.
- Eagles Blocks and Pavers.
- Eagles Fumigation and Sanitation.
As always, my call to all of us especially young people is to ignore lies from the other camp that "the UPND government you voted for has neglected you and is doing nothing to address your challenges".
President Hakainde Hichilema and his team means well and all we can do is join hands and support him in his quest to restore Zambia to it's old glory days.
Once again, congratulations to Zambia's Chief Marketing Officer and Commander in-Chief of the Defense and Civilian forces President HH on this milestone achievement.

Fellow Citizens,
This morning, I wish to add my voice in wishing a happy birthday to our beloved Catholic Church brothers and sisters world over.
The Church founded by Jesus Christ himself on this day in 33AD.
Good morning and happy Sunday...
Dr. Milner Mwanakampwe
Fellow Citizens,
With a day to go before we come to the close of this week, some of us might be losing hope about achieving our set goals for the week.
My encouragement to such a one who might be feeling hopeless with the results so far despite all the efforts put in is that: Don't Give Up. The day is still young anything POSITIVE is POSSIBLE.
In our days, when the Zambia National Soccer Team is playing, fans would be heard shouting "Ba Zambia Ba wina chungulo", and it really happened that way.
But for this morning, we can also draw some strength and encouragement from the book of Psalm 30:5.
"...weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning..."
So let's keep trying, like my young friends once taught me, ONE DAY FIKAPANGA SENSE....
Good morning and have a successful Day.

It's a Tuesday
Brand New Day
With New Hopes
New challenges
New opportunities
New experiences
New successes
But above all, New Blessings.
As we try again today, do your best and be a blessing to humanity.
Good morning to you all...
Dr. Milner Mwanakampwe
Fellow Citizens,
It's another brand new day symbolizing the start of a new week and a new set of goals, challenges and opportunities for us all.
Remember, despite your own lined up activities for this week, society has its own expectations for you.
My encouragement to all of us is that while it is an indisputable fact that we can not please everyone around us no matter how much time and resources we are given, shall we endeavor to do our honest part within our available means and leave the rest to God.
Irregardless of the number of people who are happy with you, at the end of day, it is fulfilling and brings peace of mind when you have put in all your best in serving the very few you might have an opportunity to interact with at a given time.
Go out there, do your part, and be a blessing to someone.
𝐇𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐬 13:2
𝐃𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨, 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠.
The carrier of your blessings may be among those coming to seek a service from you today.
May God give us strength and wisdom to do our honest part in serving humanity today and in times to come.
Good morning to you ALL.
Happy mothers' Day to all our Loving and caring mothers out there...
May God continue blessing all our mothers for their unconditional love and commitment towards raising responsible children and homes, which are a backbone for a stable and peaceful Nation.
May you live long to see and enjoy the fruits of your labour as your children take up responsibility of caring for you in your old age.
Dr. Milner Mwanakampwe
Fellow Citizens,
As we come to the close of this week, and now retiring to bed, I know that we are facing this night under different circumstances and conditions.
To some, this signifies the beginning of a happy weekend with family and friends and to some it doesn't look so.
But one thing remains true: God who is All Knowing, and holds the future for each one of us, Has a plan for you and me.
And so as we offer our night time prayers, may I draw your attention to the Bible in:
Psalm 17:6
"I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, [and hear] my speech".
May this be our prayer and may God continue to Make It Easier For All of Us.
Good night and Happy Sabbath to you ALL
Fellow Citizens,
As Provincial Administration we are suddened by the recent incident of fire that swept through John Chinena market.
We also share in the loose suffered by our traders there most of whom being mothers with very minimal capital for their businesses.
While we engage different stakeholders on the possible solution to safeguard the place from such fires in future, I wish to assure the affected citizens of Government's support during these hard times....
Dr. Milner Mwanakampwe
Good morning fellow Citizens,
The Bible in Psalm 34:8 says:
O taste and see that the LORD [is] good: blessed [is] the man [that] trust in Him.
As we go about our planned activities and applying our honest part of human effort, my encouragement today is that shall we also Trust in Lord for guaranteed success of all our plans.
I wish all of us a happy, successful and incident free Wednesday...

On behalf of my family and indeed on my own behalf, I wish to join His Excellence the President of the Republic of Zambia Mr Hakainde Hichilema, First Family and the many well meaning Zambians in wishing the First Lady of this great Republic Mrs Mutinta Hichilema a Happy Birthday and may more happy and Blessed returns.

Fellow Citizens,
I woke up this morning wondering what makes society treat us differently despite sharing the same background with others, and I have come to a conclusion that '𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞....'.
Haven't you wondered why some people disrespect you while on public transport and on the streets, treat you with kindness when you meet in places of worship (Churches) but later respect you while at your place of work, home, your shop etc....?
In one place your value is questioned but in another, the environment demands that people should respect you even for what you're not....
My prayer therefore, is that as we begin this new week, may the favour of God Almighty lead each one of us to places and people that will add value and bring real meaning to our lives....
Good Morning and Happy New Week to All of Us.
𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐎𝐌 𝐃𝐀𝐘
KABWE, FRIDAY 03/05/2024 - As Zambia joins the rest of the International Community in commemorating this year's World Press Freedom Day which falls every year on May 03, I wish to add my voice in congratulating and commending our hard working local media practitioners for their tireless efforts in shaping society into one safe for all of us to live in.
This year's Theme for the World Press Freedom Day: '𝑨 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕: 𝑱𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒎 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒔', is timely and cannot be over emphasized, especially that our environment even Central Province has not been spared by the effects of Climate change.
It's always encouraging to note how our local media houses have personalized the fight against climate change through the allocation of air space for talk shows with experts on the matter, and as a result we are seeing a steady mindset change amongst our people in understand that subject matter and adopting new methods to mitigate the vice, this is as it should be.
I understand how hard it has been in the past for one to practice Journalism, not only because of individual Media House challenges, but also the political toxicity of the environment journalists were subjected to work in despite just being messengers.
Previously, our colleagues did not understand that a Journalist is just a mere messenger, but for fear of their own shadows and wrong deeds, failed to face the source rather opted to unleash all their anger, political frustrations and influence on the poor messenger, a culture this government under His Excellence President Hakainde Hichilema has refused to adopt, and that makes me proud to be associated with a government that has chosen to recognize the media as a critical partner in the development of our country.
I wish to commend President Hakainde Hichilema for being bold enough on matters of Press Freedom in this country and rebuilding the once broken relationship between the media and government.
Today, we have a lot of our citizens accessing government empowerment programs like loans and grants under CDF and CEEC among other empowerment initiatives, the free education policy and the recent mass recruitments into the Civil Service all because of the cordial relationship between government and the media which has enabled the media to squarely carryout their mandate of 'Informing, Education and Entertaining' society.
In Kabwe alone, I know of some media houses whose works were always 'under camera' being monitored by Police threatened with closure and accused of being Anti-government just because some individuals in some offices felt uncomfortable with the their style of broadcasting.
This country will never have a taste of such again as long a President Hakainde Hichilema remains in-Charge of the affairs of this great Republic.
Therefore, on behalf of government in Central Province, my message to you colleagues from SPICE FM 91.1 Kabwe , Cloud FM, Power FM Kabwe - The People's Station, ZANIS, KNC Radio and TV, Fostone Radio, Radio Maranatha, Diamond TV, Crown TV, Times of Zambia, Millennium TV, Prime TV, Zambia Daily Mail, Mkushi Radio, ITT Radio, Mumbwa FM and Serenje FM including online media platforms like CIC and Falcon is that: continue being professional and resist the temptation of bringing down your own country through hate speech and the publication of unverified information.
Like the late third Republican President Dr Levy Patrick Mwanawasa SC once said: 'The Media has The Power to Build or Destroy the Nation'.
Be assured of government support where needs be and together, let's join hands with President Hichilema and his government in fostering unity and development for the good of our majority citizens.
Once again, Happy 2024 World Press Freedom Day.
