I learned some new needlepoint stitches these past few weeks! I was asked to make this for a FarmHouse Fraternity fundraiser. The canvas looks a bit skewed in the photo but it looks flat in real life!

Thanks so much for sending such a fantastic kit! I jumped on the Modern Folk Embroidery 2024 stitch-along late, but I was about to finish January’s portion just in time! I decided to do a combination of five colours instead of two, leaning towards greens with a delicate pop of yellow.

Julenisse is in the house! He’s the famous Norwegian Santa that I dubbed Selbu Santa. I designed this standing Santa doll using .flossco threads exclusively. However I provided a DMC alternative to accommodate others. The pattern comes with finishing directions. Link is in my bio.

Wow! This little design packs a lot of punch! “Stitch Spool” by .
I used what I had in my stash ( luckily I had ribbon from .handcraftstudio that was given out during the ). I love the results!

My favourite stitching memory is going to the store with my mom and buying my first pattern. It was in the late 70’s and the pattern was a horse stitched in tonal greys. I don’t know what happened to my project, but I wish for the life of me that I could find that pattern again!

It’s so hard to pick just a few! Any creator that shares their passion on YouTube or their patterns on Etsy/personal sites has my respect! .sarah.e
