We love accepting little ones, stair gate up and bath toys at the ready for this week tiny ones ⚓️

We have used our earned super host bonus voucher to book a stay in Ukraine.

Whilst obviously we won’t be actually visiting hopefully the host can use the funds for whatever they need!

If you are a host and haven’t used your voucher yet perhaps this could be an option?

So today we have put up new blackout curtains. A couple guests mentioned they didn’t enjoy the sun flooding in on a morning so we made the change ☀️ ⚓️

Our beautiful weather has disappeared today but our gorgeous garden area will be waiting for it to return ☀️⚓️

These pictures were taken in Blenheim Gardens which is just 2 minutes from the cottage and a lovely walk and space for children to have a run around.
Aren’t we lucky, 2 minutes walk one way and your at the beach, 2 minutes the other way and you have beautiful gardens and the town ⚓️

I popped our lovely new print up today and think it looks perfect! Not long to go until guests are allowed to stay ⚓️

On a quick inspection of the cottage recently I felt the living room seemed a bit plain. I guess that’s what happens when you haven’t been in there for months, you see things with fresh eyes. The walls just seemed slightly empty and missing something, I wasn’t exactly sure what, I started searching online and came across this gorgeous print from John Dyer Gallery and it arrived today. I’ve popped it in a frame and cannot wait to get it on the wall at the cottage, next job to decide what wall! ⚓️

TIER 3

So as of 26th December Minehead as in Somerset is going in to Tier 3. This sadly means the cottage will have to close again :(
We have guests booked for January so rest assured we will be in contact and keep up to date with people every time our tier is reassessed!

TIER 2

So Minehead being part of Somerset West and Taunton is Tier 2 meaning we can re open.
Having read thoroughly we understand that whilst Tier 3 can travel it is advised they should not travel outside their tier or stay in others so we have decided to take the stance to only accept guests from Tiers 1 & 2.

Today we decorated the tree at the cottage ready in the hope of some December guests ⚓️🌲

At least lockdown v2 gives plenty of time to make goodies! We (I mean nan!) are big jam/chutney makers! My personal fave is her marmalade and homemade lemon curd, yummy ⚓️

With last nights announcement we have blocked out the booking option from Thursday to 2nd December! Very sad we cannot let others enjoy our gorgeous cottage and town but know it’s needed.
Hopefully look forward to welcoming guests for some festivities in December!
