It will test you like…

Posting your scheduled carousel with multiple slides looking the same.

Or posting your Reel with a hook that’s in a font that isn’t even available to you when creating the Reel.

Or just not letting you use certain features. 🙃

It’s all fun and games and a little scary when starting out but it doesn’t have to be…✨

MY BIGGEST ADVICE WHICH I DIDN’T MENTION:👇🏼

Please stay in your lane. I mean this the nicest way possible because it helps YOU. 🫶🏼
You don’t need to be checking out everyone else for inspiration. Block and get rid. Train the algorithm to show you your ideal clients so you can engage with them more.

You NEED to be sitting down with a coffee and brainstorming your own original ideas and designs. And you need to train the mind to not care what others think.
Showing up for your business is important. Don’t be scared of the camera.

You’re beautiful. Funny. And people will love you and your personality. So show it.🤍

✨BUILDING TRUST✨
New Instagram page. No one knows me. I may have tons of ecom and marketing experience from my corporate jobs when I worked in London but I’m technically a newbie here. I have no work to show. What do I do? I show people what I know. I teach them for FREE.

✨PAID ADS✨
You need it. I used paid ads for brand awareness. To get more of the right following. I worked a lot with fashion and beauty in the corporate world so that’s what I wanted to attract. I also studied fashion business marketing so I wanted to stick with what I knew. Paid ads helped me gain LOADS of the right following.

✨VIDEO CONTENT✨
I know that when it comes to video content and succeeding, it’s all to do with the entertainment. How can I keep people looking at my videos for longer? 3 ways. - Aesthetic content. Educational content. Humorous content. People either want to look at nice things, learn something, or laugh. I chose the aesthetic root. No “hacks”. Just creating attractive content.

✨BRANDING✨
This should have come sooner but when starting out who knows what they’re doing. Branding came later for me and this is okay. Branding isn’t something you should rush. It also allowed me to attract my ideal clients. The people you may not get from the beginning but you’ll get in the end.

✨PERSONAL BRAND✨
This step along with video content and branding is where I saw a huge shift. The engagement sky rocketed. People got to know me. I showed BTS, daily life, started writing captions like a diary. Sharing educational content but through personal experiences so no one else had already read it elsewhere. It felt good. I felt like genuine connections were being built.

✨PROMOTIONAL CONTENT✨
This is where the engagement dropped. I’m sharing more of my work. I’m no longer teaching so much for free. But I don’t need to. I feel as though people finally trust me. Promotional content never gets the engagement but it 100% gets the sale when you sell CREATIVELY (I’ll save this tip for another day).

It might not be the right way. But it’s my way. Do it YOUR way.

The Mini Brand Identity with a pop of yellow.😍✨

I’m not usually one to work with colour but I do occasionally get the client that wants a pop of colour added to their palette. 👀

And I’ll be honest… I’M OBSESSED.😭

The vibe was very much timeless, clean and modern to attract the high end client.✨

I opted for a very neutral palette with yellow but ensured the yellow was more pastel than bold as it complimented the other colours perfectly.

Of course went for a gorgeous Serif font for the main font then complimented it with a Sans Serif font for the body font.☁️

The projects I’m working on at the moment are just insane. I’m loving the clients. The industries. Their overall vision and vibes. It’s getting busier as we get towards the end of the year but I’m just so excited to see these brands doing their thing.😍

I’ve got so many exciting things happening with my marketing clients too. Some going through huge business changes, like levelling up, buying bigger storefronts, expanding their teams, and some that are only just about to launch but we already know it’s going to do so well from the feedback already received. Feeling grateful.🥹

I feel like I’m in a space where everyone around me is just absolutely smashing it and it just such a nice energy to be around.😍🫶🏼

Founder content is essentially personal content that aligns with the business…

If your in beauty, show YOUR skincare routine.

If your in fitness, show YOUR breakfast recipe.

If you’re in fashion, show YOUR outfit for the day and tag brands.

I think people over think what to share and what not to share…😅

I don’t mean you have to share you got food poisoning at the weekend. Let’s stop there🤣

But you do share your personal thoughts, opinions, feelings, routines, that link to your business or industry.🫶🏼

I get clients to talk on camera when they can. And the ones that do… well they have far better engagement than the ones that don’t. Just being honest… 🤷🏻‍♀️

I work with aestheticians that show their own skincare routine on their stories. DMs start popping off.

I have event stylists that take you along on their holiday on stories to show you how they get their Inspo for event styling. DMs start popping off.

DMs popping off = relationships being built.

I hope that helps guys as I know a lot of you were wondering what I meant last week when I spoke all things founder content!☺️

Millennials do not trust ads CREATED by the company or brand. If your target market is millennials then you’ll have to think of a different ads strategy.🤷🏻‍♀️

Founder content is where it’s at.😍✨

Unfortunately you cannot hand it all over to your social media managers and expect them to take the brand to new heights without the team work. 🫣

It’s a partnership, because at the end of the day, it’s still YOUR business.🤍

Okay you may go viral from a few videos of showing a product… but what happens when someone comes along with a similar product? What makes you different. The product won’t. The founder content will because there’s only one of you.😉

It’s essentially becoming a celebrity in your industry. It’s sharing your thoughts and opinions. Showing your humorous side. Your real and raw side. Until you become influential. That’s when the trust has kicked in.✨

I’m not saying it’s easy… BUT if you want to grow, you have to get over that fear. It’s only you holding yourself back.🫶🏼

True story 📖

Now this client wouldn’t have had any idea so I 100% get why the comment was made.🤷🏻‍♀️

But it was also something I was really proud about. 😅 The fact no one knows…🤫

So many people think if I talk about myself and all the amazing things I’ve achieved, that’s what brings the sales…

Maybe back in the day…

But it isn’t solely focused on your current success that brings more. 👀

Think about it this way.

If you’re good at what you do, PMU artist, esthetician, hair stylist, social media manager, business coach, whatever that is…

AND you have a business etiquette that is approachable, you will get chosen over all the other people out there. People choose people.🫶🏼

So many people offer the same service. But not everyone offers the same customer service.

I’ll be real… customer service is fading out. People are forgetting how to talk to people. People are forgetting, yes it’s your business but there’s still a professional way to act.

It comes down to business reputation a lot of the time.👏🏼

So if you think sharing your success is what makes people buy from you, there’s so many more other people out there doing that.

I’ve not had to share my success to become more successful. If you have a passion to genuinely help people, that’s what people need. 🤍

Share success because you want to share it. Not because you hope it will bring more success because that isn’t how people buy.

Slide 3 might reassure some of you.😉

As Instagram is changing, so is my content. No more of the quick tips as such, and more of a storytelling of what’s happening BTS.☺️

There’s enough people out there giving you Instagram tips so you don’t need me doing it too…

But in all honesty, the biggest thing that hits me is engagement. You know I’m a sucker for strong engagement. 😍

Well that guy has dipped since changing my strategy. 🥲

BUT if I put my business hat on, sales are more. So realistically, I don’t really want to go back to giving quick tips, if you get what I mean.😅

Also, my follower growth has slowed right down. It could be 3 things👇🏼

1. My account was on a ban since April, meaning my content wants being shown on the explore page or used as recommended content. How didn’t know this? My account status in my settings. It only got lifted beginning of this month. 😄

2. It’s summer where the majority of my followers are based meaning people are living their best lives and not on Instagram. GOOD FOR THEM! You soak up that sun sis. ☀️

3. I’m a lazy bu**er and don’t post no where near as much as I used to.🥲 But I’m busy trying to post, manage a business, shower, live life, workout, eat, spend time with my husband and dog. Sometimes filming or clicking around in Canva is the last thing on my priority list.😬

But anyway. I know where I need to improve and I know where things have dipped but I don’t really mind as such.

So next time I hear “I lost 5 followers this month” think of me, crying into a bag of crisps because I lost 1k😭🤣 I’m joking!😉

A dark moody colour palette with the use of Sans serif and serif fonts.✨

I’ve fallen in love with doing tiny details so singular letters when it comes to logo design. 😍

There’s something about it that gives it that small detail whilst keeping it minimalistic and clean. I’ve noticed a lot more brands going for this as it creates more of a timeless look meaning you don’t have to refresh your whole brand every couple of years. 🫶🏼

Branding is what attracts people in.
Marketing is what makes people buy.

So nail that branding first so you actually get eyes on your brand, then build that marketing strategy so people can’t say no.😉

This was an inspiration peace and I absolutely loved designing it so I thought I’d share.😁

Choose 3 of these angles and include them in your Reels to show everyone you’re also a part time videographer …😉

Switching angles keeps people hooked.

Keeping people hooked increases your watch time.

Good watch time, more reach. 🥳

Now there are MANY more different angles you can try but these are great for beginners who need to get out of the habit of posting a 5 second b-roll clip. 😉

Not only do angles help improve your Reels, effects can also help.

My favourites are definitely a slow zoom in and also ASMR. 😍

You can of course go into Capcut and add LOADS of effects to your reels but you don’t want to over do it, especially if you want high quality. So I wanted to share with you the most modern effects above. 🫶🏼

And my favourite tip 👉🏼 Change angles every 2 seconds.

You can even start all your Reels with the same angle. This way you become memorable.😉

This is probably one of my biggest wins to date…🥹

I don’t usually share wins but I really wanted to share this one because there’s an important story behind it.👇🏼

This account hasn’t been easy to manage. If you looked at Instagram metrics, I’ll hold my hands up and say it could do better. 🥲

I’m just being honest…

It was an account that got flagged a couple of times because of the industry and content shared didn’t align with the IG rules, and an account that got left for a few months with no activity. It’s never been one to really pop off….

It needed a big cleanup. A lot of followers removed. A lot of posts archived. A lot of optimisation and 2 different marketing strategies later. 😅

So this has been a lot of work. Alot of scratching my head. A lot of research. BUT luckily I have an amazing product to play with. Metrics wasn’t my forefront. Brand reputation was my focus.

My clients brand is NEXT LEVEL. Something I can’t wait to get my hands on when it launches. (August!)🔥

Focusing massively on content creation. Selling more in a creative way. And trying to warm up the audience before launch.👏🏼

We had an email list already underway 3 months before launch. 😍

We’ve focused on Ecom AND lifestyle shoots to make it more authentic.✨

And we’ve focused hugely on selfcare and wellness. Because this brand is a lifestyle. Not just a womenswear brand.🫶🏼

THE BEST NEWS HIT US LAST WEEK!

ASOS found Sundé through socials. Came across a reel. Did a little more digging on Instagram, liked what they saw and invited my client to the HQ.🥹

A couple of hours later they agreed to order over 500 pieces and stock Sundé on their website…🤯

This is just a small brand based in the UK. I was ECSTATIC when my client told me. She fully deserves it.😭

And this is all because they found us on socials…

P.S…be on socials. You don’t know who’s watching your brand. 🫶🏼

So simple… but so effective…☁️

A clean design for a handbag brand, Vennez, based in Italy. 🇮🇹 ☺️

This was a mini brand identity which included 2 logos, 6 colours, mood board, and a social media style.☺️

We actually started with a pop of colour including dark reds and greens but decided we wanted the more neutral approach.🤍

I’m absolutely loving sans serif fonts lately. They’re so easy to use when it comes to designing modern logos but want a small change to give it some uniqueness.🥰

It’s more of a realisation post than anything…👇🏼

I’ve seen so many people waste time on these “hacks” and then get so disheartened when it doesn’t work for them which then results in them wanting to give up with social media all together…

Kinda makes me a little sad.😕

A lot of the hacks you see are mostly speaking about how to go viral etc…

This worked for that person. And it probably worked once.😬

So they wanted to share about it. Which is fine! But don’t expect it to work for you because it could have just been a coincidence.🤷🏻‍♀️

I will always talk about these things:
-Quality of your content is the key.
-Your business reputation is important on socials.
-Quick wins do not exist in social media.

Hacks may make people go viral. But 9 times out of 10, the engagement then completely falls off on all of their other pieces of content.😩

So what you want to do, if you do go viral, go viral for quality content. And no this isn’t going to happen right away and yes everyone has their own opinions on what is quality vs what isn’t.

But going viral on quality content results in consistent engagement on all of your future posts. 👏🏼

It’s just pressure because people expect good quality every time 😉

But quality content isn’t just uploading a video. It’s about entertaining people. This is why we scroll on social media and stop to watch something at the end of the day. 🤷🏻‍♀️

So if you expect me to post about quick wins or hacks…this may be the wrong place for you lovely. I’m all about the quality and business reputation over here!🫶🏼

I honestly hate this topic but it needs to be discussed…🤣

Hashtags do not improve reach. How do I know this?

The Head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, has said hashtags do not improve your reach.🥲

We’re looking at hashtags wrong. 😩

Hashtags are used for search. Not necessarily for reach. Let me explain…

So the hashtags you use will only be beneficial if someone actually searches these hashtags in the search bar. 🔍

And if I’m honest, how many people search hashtags anymore? Raise your hand…🥴

So what I’m saying is, hashtags only give you reach if you’ve been found in the search using a hashtag that a person has searched for. Apart from that, they’re pretty pointless.🤣

SO guys and gals, let’s save some time… I will only be using hashtags that are specific to the post, words people will most likely search, and only about 4/5. Because who has time for hashtags nowadays?😩

Put your time into your captions. Why? SEO & KEYWORDS! These play a part more than ever.🫶🏼

I hope this has cleared up that awful hashtag question! The headache hashtags give me is next level 🤣

Dark moody vibes for an Aesthetic Injector based in San Jose, CA. 💉 👄

This was one of my very first major projects last year for an aesthetic injector who wanted to attract high end clients. This meant high end branding.😍☁️

Focusing on a mix of Serif and Scripted fonts. 🫶🏼

Not only did I build out her logo suite but also colour palette, typography, mock ups, brand patterns, and a full blown brand strategy!😅

We focused on her vision, mission, brand tone, personality, values, target market, and much more.🖤

I absolutely LOVED this project because dark moody vibes are something I just love working with. ✨

I now work with this client for social media management and I’m now about to build her brand new website in August!😍🥹

Not only have I helped identify her brand, but I’m now able to market her brand exactly how she wants to be marketed to attract the right clients, and now about to finish off with the most aesthetic website so I can send all those clients to not only a website, but an experience. 😁

It’s a full time job. I’m going to be real here…👇🏼

So when I had less followers, my time was spent putting out easy to digest content 6 times a week.

In all honesty, this was easier than it is now.😂

Now the most of my time is spent communicating with people on Instagram which I LOVE but that’s why I’ve had to reduce the amount I post because I now use my time differently on the app.🤷🏻‍♀️

Not only that, my style of posting has changed. It’s no longer bullet point educational stuff. I try my absolute hardest to post things that are different and that are at the standard I want to be known for. This means it’s more brain power.🤍

But the biggest thing is the pressure. People assume because you have a lot of followers, you’ll be able to do the same for them. 😅

OR because you have a lot of followers you should use your platform in a way that’s different to someone that has 200 followers.😩

I think everyone assumes, when you have a lot of followers you’re winning. But it’s just a number.🫶🏼

I’ve always said I plan to keep my team small and only earn what I need to earn so I can have that simple life. That’s always been my goal. More money, more stress. That’s the saying right?😂

More followers, more is expected of you. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Now there are also positives! And I am SO damn grateful for you all. I just really wanted to be honest with you because there’s also these sides that may not be so positive when it comes to having a lot of followers🤍

The goal is the right followers, not just “I want 10,000 followers.” And the RIGHT followers take time to build.🤍

A branding project for a Photographer in the US. 📸 ✨

I did tell you guys I’d share more branding so here it is🥰

Focusing on a darker colour palette and a mix of scripted, sans serif, and serif fonts, it was definitely a fun project to work on.☺️

I’m currently in the middle of finalising branding for 7 different businesses.😅

And even more projects are starting in July and August.🥹

I never thought my branding service would become so popular. 🥺 I’m so happy…

I always think you should do more of what makes you happy and being creative really is my thing!🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m also launching another very creative service soon. The Social Paige is switching focus and if I’m honest, I’m nervous but excited.😅

A lot more branding sneak peaks to come once they’ve been signed off!👀

It’s all changing…😫

And this is why my new SMM packages moving forward include paid ads because organic growth just gets slower and slower every year.😅

The thing is, you can’t have paid ads without organic. Imagine having ads flying around and then they visit your profile and you have no new content going out.😕

This is why they’re the best duo when it comes to marketing your brand.👀

Organic social builds those relationships and trust.✨

Paid ads builds brand awareness quicker and that results in quicker conversions.🫶🏼

But selling constantly in your content harms your overall brand because no one likes to be sold to anymore.🙃

This is why i like to use ads to do the selling and CTAs and leave my content to build my brand presence and create those relationships and this is what a lot of businesses are pivoting towards..🤍

Marketing can be all fun and games…it can also be so damn stressful too, even for us SMMs 😅🫶🏼

But wait? IT’S GOOD NEWS!😍

FI-NA-LLY!

The Instagram algorithm had a make over and it’s finally good news for smaller accounts.🫶🏼

So basically instead of posting and it growing straight to just your following. Your content will now be recommended to both followers and non-followers based on if they engage with similar topics that you’ve posted about.🫶🏼

This means potentially more reach, more engagement, and more brand awareness! 🥳

BUT the aim of the game is keywords and SEO. So talking about the piece of content, explaining what’s happening extra in the caption is important. Even the keywords you use in the Hook and live text in a reels are going to play a part.👀

Why?👇🏼

Because this is how Instagram determines what this piece of content is about. Once they understand what it’s about they will put it infront of the right people.🤍

This is currently in testing so not everyone will see the effect straight away.🫶🏼

But I pray it all has a good impact on you guys!😘

Something new for your eyes…👀

Well this is unlike me, isn’t it. Different content. Different time. AND posting on a Saturday. Rules are there to be broken.😉😂

But I did warn change so here it is!!!

So this was a big project for a new tanning studio located in the North of the UK.🇬🇧

It was a difficult project. I’m not going to lie…👇🏼

The client fell in love with a Canva logo and don’t get me wrong, it was very cute! But as we all know, when you design logos in Canva you technically don’t own them, meaning you can’t trademark them. When you don’t trademark your logo, anyone can copy it basically.😅

That meant I had to take this logo and amend it to make it original. There’s actually a whole new palm tree within there.👀🌴

It was definitely a colour palette I fell in love with quickly. Greys, beige, blues. First time working with this colour palette. I’m obsessed.😍

Well I hope you loved this little insight in to my very busy branding journey! SO many more to come. I have so many I’m currently in the middle of that I LOVE. I feel like they get better each time.🫣

IT’S THE SOCIAL PAIGE… but it’s time for a change☁️🥹

True story…

I WAS sick of looking at my Instagram. My content never looked good. I only focused on it being readable and easy to digest. 🥲

So I got bored.

I want my content to be readable and easy to digest but AESTHETIC. High end. LUXURY!✨

So I went a way and decided to put together a mood board and I went down the root of a Mediterranean aesthetic. I do live here after all.😍

Nothing will change regarding the information I put out to you guys. Apart from a lot more education on branding and actually showcasing more of my work on my feed. Why? Because I’m genuinely so proud of how far I’ve come…🥹

So I’ll still be teaching marketing tips.

I’ll be teaching branding tips.

Showing more brand kits and mockups I’ve built.

And teaching marketing through aesthetic content instead of boring looking content. 😅

I am SO excited for this next step…So many of you ask about branding so I thought I better start teaching this too! So expect to see more of that on my feed.👀

Some people don’t like change, and I get it. But in business, you have to make change. So it’s time to completely change what I put on my feed for the first time in 2 years.. but let’s do this!🤍

My brain FINALLY decided to work and give me some kind of ideas of what to write for you guys. Creative burnout is a thing.😭🤣

ANYWAY…STYLE SERIES! Perfect for building a personal brand.☺️

Now the examples I give clearly won’t work for everyone but hopefully it gives you a light bulb moment of what might work for you. 💡

The aim of the game is either starting your Reel with the same action or environment before you actually get into your Reel OR wearing/having something that’s always in your Reels. 📹

For example, you love pink, have pink lipstick on... 💓

Something along those lines.😁

When I create strategies for personal brands it’s something I always talk about in our calls and try to dig deep in what we can do to create repetition but also stand out from competitors.👀

Also remember a style series can be a saying. I know one content creator that always starts her Reels with “What’s up buttercup.” Without fail.😃

Another content creator starts her Reels by actually showing she’s pressing record on her phone before she actually starts the Reel.✨

It’s little things, that over time, have a big impact and stick in peoples minds. And that’s what you want. You want to stick in their minds! 🧠
