When my world is suffering, a place I called home for 18+ years, people want to rant about the ” who done it’s” The dust will settle and truth always comes to surface, but I have no room in my heart for that right now.
If my inners cannot find a moment of peace, I cannot send the Mana of faith and love to our Ohana. I respectfully tell them, I have only peace and a prayer for a moment of peace , a restful night sleep for all. Love is all we can take away with us to the next realm. Stay in prayer. Send good Mana. Love eachother harder and be grateful stronger. 🙏🏻🌈🌴

To seek JOY
If you go outward,it’s an endless journey. If you go inward, it’s just one moment.

Take time for peace.
It's Okay to block the world out for moments. Count your blessings and breath.

You cannot be in control of the minds of others, nor their reactions. Do what you know to be true and right. Be an example. That is the only thing we are in control of.

When I moved from California to Maui to live my life, I never thought about how It
“ wouldn’t” work. I just did it and have been here on the island for 16 years, ❤️ Thank You universe for taking care of me.

The unknowing sets a fear inside us. Take a deep breath. Look back for just a moment at all the mountains and hills you have climbed and succeeded. Look where you have arrived. Have faith in yourself, you the conquerer. The warrior of life.

God gave us two ears to listen twice as much as we speak. 🙏🏻

When we say we are thankful for our life, don’t leave out our trials, our challenges, our loss. We learn daily the gift of gratitude, what it is to be humble. Thank God for everything the universe throws at us though it may feel uncomfortable at the time. There is Great Wisdom to proclaim and make it part of you. Receive it. The bitter can always make the better fantastic. ❤️

TO ALL OF US WHO HAVE LOST LOVED ONES.

A moment in time can teach us

how often it is said

to learn to take life slower

so many times it has been read

Then in an instant life is stifled

as the world around still flows

your life is stopped in an instant

while the green garden around still grows

Time becomes so precious

minutes become more brief

while hearts are held from aching

to breath the happiness beneath

As we look behind us all

we see our paths so dim

How did we arrive here so fast?

What trophy did we win?

So when life is put through trials

when the hands on the clock slow down

our eyes are open wide to life

and it’s too late to turn around

So best to walk on forward

accept every thing the moment has to give

Don’t worry too much about dying

but take note on how to live.

The answer to healing your past is letting go of the emotion and changing it into wisdom. Then your future becomes peaceful 💜

When the moon rises, dance in the light, breathe in the peace.

13/11/2019

Why is it sometimes we are grounded when we try to expand our wings
Sometimes our discoveries are awakened by so many hidden things,
The path we set for our souls can surprisingly get caught in a cloud
Sometimes we tend to breathe the air and instead find some dreams have drowned

But we know we wake in the early morn, and with each step that is taken
We feel our hearts beat once again and to live is not mistaken
Setting forth again on broken grounds our heads held high in the sky
Putting together broken pieces of yesterday and no more asking why.

But be assure the sun will shine, the moon will soon be full
In everyday there is a promise, to begin again and find your soul.
With every breath and every thought a new door will open wide
Don’t stress for one short minute, my love, God will always be by your side.

The Journey

My journey started a very long time ago, but the year 2004 began something incredible for me and changed me forever. I moved to Maui to start a new life and never did I imagine the beautiful life I would find, create and sustain. From learning about myself, caring for friends and family, learning a new culture and way of life to flourishing as an artist - I live this peaceful journey. I hope you find my musings, stories and reflections something that resonates with you. We are kindred spirits, more alike than different. Mahalo, Donna
