What is it??? Still dying to know, it’s probably just a nail but I finally got my metal electrolysis to work! It’s taking the rust off as I type! Any guess? This was the little relic I got at the Bulow Plantation Ruins the first time I went magnet fishing.

At the beach today and the tide was out so I decided to do a little and found this cool piece. Old bottle top? Glass is sharper where it broke but it could be an old bottle but new break, cork is still intact. What do you think? Old or not? @ Ponce Inlet Dog Park

I totally forgot to share that I was gifted with this relic of a while away in Cape Coral! I tested it in my backyard today and actually found something rusty, crusty and I think old. Photos to come when I clean it up, no clue what it is.

I needed a new hobby!
I am an artist and art teacher by trade but I needed something different! This is something totally new for me and I couldn’t be more excited! I am a mountain girl through and through but unfortunately at this time in life, I can’t live there so I go visit as often as I can! Each time I come back to Florida I get a little depressed, don’t get me wrong Florida is a beautiful state but my heart will always be in the mountains and the pace of small-town living. I love elevation and FL is just too flat for me, I love vistas! So to alleviate my constant wanderlust thinking I decided to get out there and do something about it. There are so many places in this state that I haven’t seen and I’ve lived here a grand total of 28 years. The rat race of life with kids of school age has worn me out as I’m sure it does everyone so I figured we’d go out and find fun but locally.
The first step in this crazy new adventure was to buy myself a fishing magnet with an Amazon gift card I received from school for Teacher Appreciation Week. I was watching lots of videos thinking about how fun it would be to go explore and see what relics I could find. Then I decided I needed a GoPro badly to film everything, the great thing is they had an awesome deal going on that I couldn’t resist. I was able to mail in my Dad’s old Hero3 that we were given when he passed and they were taking $100 off of the new GoPro Hero8 Black edition so I splurged!
I’m not sure where this crazy new adventure will take us but I’m glad you’re along for the ride. This may be a trainwreck or it just may end up fulfilling my crazy wanderlust which would be amazing! I’m a newbie at all of this so bear with me as I navigate the waters of filming and YouTube.
