5 things to know when visiting Dubai:

1. You must be covered when visiting the Grand Mosque or any other religious temple.

2. Alcohol is available, but limited to certain establishments. You can't just go to the Cheesecake Factory and buy drinks.

3. Be mindful about taking direct pictures of locals. There is a strict privacy policy here that could result in being jailed if violated.

4. You do not have to be married to stay in the same hotel room as the opposite s*x.

5. The best time to visit Dubai is between November and March. The summer months are unbearably hot and many tourist attractions are closed during that time.
