Make time for mental health refreshers every day, so you don’t feel overwhelmed to the point where you need 1-2 full days of doing absolutely nothing to make you better.
Gym time and my commute is actually my mental refreshers. During my commute, I listen to podcasts and audiobooks.
find what works for you, so you don’t have to use Saturday and Sunday to refresh, you can stay productive on the weekends and still feel recharged for your work week

Struggling with motivation? Clarify your goal 🎯 OR… Make it bigger 📈 Most people quit on a target that doesn’t require consistent effort or provide an exciting outcome. Vagueness “I want to lose weight” well you lost a pound, but you don’t feel/look different and you don’t feel like celebrating because you’ll put the pound back on 😢 Clarity “I want to lose 25lbs” You lost 25lbs, you feel better and you can see 👀 a difference. You can celebrate the victory because you have proven you know how to lose the weight. Small goal “I want to lose 5lbs.” You lose 2lbs, you can’t see or feel the difference, you feel like you’ve failed and you lose motivation. Big Goal “I want to lose 25lbs!” You lose 15 lbs and you can see and feel the difference, you recognize you fell short of your goal, BUT 15lbs lost is nothing to sleep on so you feel encouraged and motivated by the progress to lose the other 10. When you set a small goal and fall short, there’s minimal growth and motivation. When you set a big goal and fall short, you learn, adapt and feel motivated to continue. 🚨Coaches…stop 🛑 telling kids to specialize because you think they have a brighter future in your sport‼️ You’re being extremely selfish‼️ You are placing a limiting belief of that athlete that, in life, they can only be good at one thing. Those are lies‼️ And you should be ashamed. You’re conditioning that athlete that it’s a “this or that” world. Where, in fact, there are thousands of success stories of people excelling at multiple sports. But that’s not all. There are even more stories of people who excel at multiple aspects of life: Successful business owner and great mother Valedictorian and elite athlete Award winning violinist and doctor Fit father and great coach Dentist and philanthropist The list goes on and on‼️ Encourage athletes to be elite in all aspects, in all sports and reinforce within them that they CAN achieve it all!
