The North Port Jazz Festival is an annual event that is dedicated to bringing professional jazz groups and performers together with school jazz bands to foster a music education relationship. This is a unique format where world-class jazz performers not only perform but give feedback to local high school and middle school jazz bands as they increase their jazz knowledge. The audience is invited to not only enjoy the performances but to see what music education looks like!
On Saturday 1/23/16 during the day we will be featuring some of the local high school and middle school jazz bands! Admission is free (but we always take donations!) THESE KIDS REALLY NEED AN AUDIENCE!!!! So if you are able to come and enjoy please do! Performances are at the top and bottom of the hour starting at 12noon.
