I will be at the sewing station!
Tomorrow there will be a Repair Cafe from 1-6 at the Saskatoon maker space. Bring something for volunteers to try to fix, keep things out of the landfill and talk about the right to repair . I will be there with my sewing machine.
Being back to work, I haven't been doing much creating. However, I am still busy with repair. I spent the winter fixing coats for the Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council and the Biggar Family Center. I also had the pleasure of attending the repair cafe. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/repair-cafe-saskatoon-april-2022-1.6415983
Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council With the help of volunteers that will be offering their knowledge and skills, Repair Cafés encourage us to consider repairing items rather than throwing them away.
It's been a while since I posted. It has been a busy time here preparing for our new chickens. My chicken coop is my newest recycling project, we used insulation and panelling salvaged from a torn down shed, styrofoam from packing crates and old plastic grain sack. Nothing goes to waste around here!
