SUPPORT WORKER IS NEEDED IN THE WEEKENDS

Supporting who has a physical disability – Cerebral Palsy and who has very high needs. This person lives in their own home. This person prefers a female support worker.

Are you reliable, conscientious, with a caring nature and a passion for helping people?

A part-time role is vacant has arisen for a support worker in a Supported Independent Living situation. Supported Independent Living means this person does not require 24/7 support. You will be responsible for:

• Personal care. (feeding, toileting, showering, dressing and transferring).
• Home management. (housework).
• Community support. (supporting this client/employer out in the community, if required).

The hours are 12 per week and hourly rate is from $21.50 to $27.00 per hour, depending what qualification you have. 3 shifts per day (morning, lunch and tea). From Saturday morning to Sunday evening.

If you feel this role could be yours please remember to bring your:

• Patience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Honesty.
• Flexibility but most of all your sense of humour.

• A current first aid certificate and previous experience in caregiving for people with a disability is essential. Also; no experience is welcomed.
• Must be prepared to undertake a NZ Police vetting check.
