Here’s to the start of Labor Day weekend for those in the U.S. and the end of August, which I’m happy about.
🗓️ August was an interesting month and honestly, I’m glad it’s almost over. For those who know my reading habits, you’ll notice I read A LOT more books this month than normal, mostly because I was laid up in bed for about 5 days 🥴.
📚 I busted through quite a few romances, a few fantasy books, and one I’m not sure the genre but wasn’t a fan. I’ll let you guess which book that was 😉.
🎤I was honored to be a panel author at the .official and even sold 18 books in less than 2 hours 💃🏻. I was also a guest on podcast - Brianna is amazing and I can’t wait to attend her Enemies to Lovers event in May.
✍️ I received my critique from my awesome editor, and am feeling much better about Nicolaus’s story. I love the rewrite/edit phase and am in my happy place as I continue to carve out this story. Once I go over it a few more times, it’ll be sent to my Beta readers. Interested? Let me know.
So, that’s a wrap. ❓How was your August? Any favorite books?
Who would’ve guessed that when I wrote Embracing the Darkness that Prince Nicolaus Jazari would become a favorite character?
That certainly wasn’t the plan, but as I continued to write, Nicolaus’ personality, humor, and wit developed into something that so many people loved, which is why he has a much bigger role in Conquering the Darkness and why he’ll most likely get his own book 😉.
The Darkness Trilogy is available on Amazon, B&N and Kobo, and I’d love for you check them out 😊. (Link to my website in bio).
❓What qualities make a lovable side character and do you have a favorite? If so, who?
Happy Monday! I’m off to get some Christmas shopping done today. Or as Chase (my youngest) said to me, “Get your a$$ to the mall, woman.” 😂 I laughed and he’s now grounded. 😉
I’m super thankful to for stocking my books and mugs. Book 3, Conquering the Darkness, will be joining the first two books in the Darkness Trilogy hopefully by the end of this week 🤞🏼.
❓Have you finished your Christmas shopping? Or are you like me and haven’t even started yet 🤦🏻♀️? If you know someone who likes Romantic Fantasy, then signed copies of the Darkness Trilogy is the perfect gift. 😉
Thanks everyone! 🙌🏼
These two are amazing and so is there podcast. Thanks so much for your support ♥️.
…
‘s FINAL book in the darkness trilogy is out today?!?
You’re welcome for our service 😂
If you don’t know, let us introduce you to a wonderful fantasy world that Cassie has created. Jasce Farone goes by many names but many know him as the Angel of Death.
1️⃣ Chasing the Darkness
2️⃣ Embracing the Darkness
3️⃣ Conquering the Darkness
This is the final book in a well-crafted trilogy. Lyss has had the opportunity to beta and ARC read for Cassie and couldn’t be happier, prouder, or more excited for her as this series comes to its conclusion.
This book literally has it all- found family, reluctant hero, world lore, romance, SPICE, action, magic, adventure, trauma, and a whole lot of life lessons.
Even if this is your first time hearing of this series, you won’t want to miss it. DEFINITELY start at the beginning though, otherwise things won’t make sense.
Lyss thinks this is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read and well worth the wait!! (Not just because she’s a featured character either 😂😜🫡)
Check this book (and this series out!!) and let Lyss know why the general and Ken’s are your favorite characters (bc tbh why wouldn’t they be??)
CONGRATS CASSIE!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳
This review made my day 🥹.
Red The Book Geek's review of Conquering the Darkness (The Darkness Trilogy, #3) 5/5: Conquering the Darkness is the explosive conclusion to this marvelous fantasy story of The Angel of Death, Jasce, and his companions as he tries to make up for his past atrocities and erase the man, Drexus, responsible for all the pain in his and his friends’ lives. I had been looking for a f...

Happy Saturday! 4 more days until the release of Conquering the Darkness 💃🏻.
A favorite character in the trilogy is Amycus Reins. He’s an Air Spectral and a blacksmith.
My inspiration for this character was Dumbledore from HP, but a lot younger 😉😂. Amycus is a mentor to quite a few characters, and the planner and uniter of Spectrals to fight tyranny in the land.
And his journal is full of wisdom for those brave enough to read it.
❓Do you keep a journal or have you ever mentored someone❓
If you haven’t read Chasing the Darkness or Embracing the Darkness, I’d love for you to give them a go, especially for my readers. Click the link in my bio for more information.
Don’t I look excited?! 😂 Find out why 🎉.

Balten, a kingdom of lethal warriors, is the frozen setting for the beginning of Conquering the Darkness.

It’s just two weeks away - the release of Conquering the Darkness! 🎉
I’m doing a final read through before it goes to formatting, but I want to give a big thanks to my ARC readers for their feedback and reviews. I really appreciate the time and thought to not only reading Conquering but writing a review as well. If anyone is curious to what’s being said, hop on over to Goodreads. Or just stick around as I’ll be posting snippets of reviews. Ahhh, the joys of marketing (I say with all jest and sarcasm 😉😂).

❓Tuesday is usually book release day. Is there a book releasing today that you’re excited for? If not, give me a Christmas recommendation. I only have one on my shelf - Wreck the Halls.
Another review for Conquering the Darkness. The release is getting close! 🎉💃🏻⚔️
Laurisa Brandt's review of Conquering the Darkness (The Darkness Trilogy, #3) 5/5: Another home run from Sanchez! Conquering the Darkness met my expectations and brought closure on all accounts. Jasce's arc is especially complex and dynamic, and it was so, so good to see him battle his inner demons and find the light. Even better, is seeing the lovable support group of friend...
Jumped on this fun trend but had to have me representing my books 😉.
Thanks .altering.reads and for the help with creating this. Too fun!
❓Have you tried this trend or have you seen the Terminator movies, because then you know where this AI thing is headed 😳😂.
Are you on Goodreads? I obviously am, but I was on it before I became an author. It was the only way I could keep track of the books I wanted to read and those that I have read. Plus, I enjoy the reading challenge, which I’ve already met with 45 books. Not too shabby for me considering I was writing a novel at the same time 😉.
Conquering the Darkness releases December 5th, so if you haven’t read the first two books in the trilogy, then try your luck on my Goodreads Giveaway. The link is in my bio 👍🏻.
Is it Friday yet?! I hope you all have a productive day. 🙌🏼
Only one more day to get these free ebooks! Also, check out the sample of Chasing the Darkness, book 1 in the Darkness Trilogy.

Alyssa's review of Conquering the Darkness (The Darkness Trilogy, #3) 5/5: Welcome to the insane conclusion of the darkness trilogy! I had the lovely opportunity to work with Cassie as a beta and ARC reader for her final book, and let me tell you- it does not disappoint!! We pick up directly after the second book- no spoilers here! This last book dives deep into Jasce...
Happy Friday! This week flew by and I don’t feel like I got much accomplished 🤷🏻♀️.
I did, however, finish the audiobook of The Assistant to the Villain. Supposedly this one took off on TikTok and was a show (not sure the history here), however I wasn’t a huge fan.
The narrator had a certain cadence to her reading, ending almost every sentence the same, and I had to speed her up just to get through.
I loved Evie and the Villains characters with the grumpy/sunshine banter, but they acted very juvenile at times.
There was a lot of telling mixed in with even more adverbs, which I don’t like, and which I learned was a big no-no for writing. Also, character reactions didn’t seem to match the situation and I found myself rolling my eyes, a lot.
And when a book ends on such a huge cliffhanger, but I have no desire to rush out and buy the next one, then that means this one just didn’t do it for me, which is too bad because again, I loved the premise.
❓Anyway, when you travel, do you take hardbacks with you❓
I usually don’t, but I’m in the middle of Iron Flame and there’s no way I’m putting that aside right now. 😂
Who doesn’t like a good sale? All of these books are only $.99, including Chasing the Darkness, an award-winning Romantic Fantasy.
The link is in my bio if you want to check these babies out.

❓Besides this new release, is there another book coming out this year that you are excited for❓
Iron Flame - tomorrow baby! 🔥 Happy Monday to all of you - make it a stellar day. ♥️
Thank you, Candice, for this amazing review! ♥️
Candice Gunn's review of Chasing the Darkness 4/5: ‘Pain is inescapable. Suffering is a choice.’ A surly assassin with anger management issues. A sassy fighter with a badass Shield. A smartass healer with a great right hook. This book was a great lineup of action, betrayal, humour and magic. The writing is sharp and I loved the introduction...
