The boys played their hearts out today but took a heartbreaking 7-6 loss at Douglas. So proud of these boys

Congratulations to Nate Dirado and Derek Lopes for being named South Shore All-Stars. Both Junior Captains had a great season.

Nate batted .333 with 3 doubles and 19 RBI's
He also Struck out 31 batters in 33 innings with a 2.49 ERA
Nate finished 2nd in RBI's and 2nd in ERA in the South Shore

Derek batted .384 with 3 doubles, 6 triples, 2 Home Runs, 18 RBI's, and 22 Runs Scored.
Derek led the South Shore in Home Runs and Triples and finished 2nd in Slugging% and Runs.

CONGRATS BOYS!!!!!

Big day today come out to support our baseball and softball teams as we try to advance to the next round of the state tournament. Nothing can motivate them more than friends and family cheering them on!!!

Derek Lopes nominated for player of the week

In a must win game to keep their postseason hopes alive the Crusaders played their best game of the season winning 15-2 at Mashpee.

Derek Lopes went 3-3 with 2 Triples and his first Varsity Home Run.

Nate Dirado and Teagan Zakrzewski also had 3 hits each driving in a combined 5 runs.

Cam Zaniboni, Finn Manning and Joey Mannix each had 2 hits driving in a combined 6 runs.

Mannix also collected his 3 win of the season on the mound with a complete game striking out 3 batters.

If Carver can win the last three games of the season next week they will have a good chance to get into the tournament and as we all know, anything can happen after that... Great Job Boys!!!

Shoot out to Carver Captains Derek Lopes and Nate Dirado for ranking in the top ten in both batting average and RBI'S in Division 5.

Spread the word. Not only will it be a big game for the boys, it'll be a fundraiser for something I am sure has affected us all in one way or another.

Carver game switched to east bridgewater, tomorrow is home now

Ok Carver faithful. The baseball team is in a little slump.. There is no better medicine than some good ol' fanfare. Please come out Monday and cheer on the boys as they take on East Bridgewater at home!!! Go Crusaders!!!

Boys lost a tough one today at Abington 4-2. Joey Mannix was stellar on the mound going 4 innings, striking out 5 and giving up only 1 earned run. Unfortunately errors were costly for the Crusaders today as the y committed 4 of them. Derek Lopes and Nate Dirado had one hit and one RBI each. Two days of the practice then 3 straight games for the boys!!! Hopefully we will have some warm weather and the bats will get hot!!!!

Carver lost to Mashpee 6-1 yesterday. Mashpee brought their A game and Carver just couldn't seem to string much together as Mashpee's pitcher Robert Ryder kept Carver off balance for 7 innnings. Bobby Rooney did grab 2 hits in the game and Nate Dirado struck out six in the the loss. The Boys have a long break as they don't play again till Monday the 24th against a very tough Abington team.

Tomorrow's Varsity and JV games vs Mashpee will begin at 4pm!!!

Shoutout to the Carver JV team for getting their first win on Saturday. Anthony Payzant struck out 14 batters and Mark Holden hit a walk off single to win it.

And to the Freshman boys who collected their first win of the season. 8th grader Frankie Mazzilli kept East Bridgewater off balance for 5 innings only allowing one hit. Carver regained the lead in the bottom of the 6th with clutch hits and great baserunning and 8th grader Jake Holden came in to shut the door in the 7th for the win!

It was a wild home opener for the Crusaders.

Carver opened up the scoring in the first inning with an RBI double by Derek Lopes.

Crusaders opened up a big lead scoring 7 runs in the 2nd inning. Bobby Rooney, Teagan Zakrzeski, Nate Dirado, Luke Pearlman, Can Zaniboni and Colin Eakins-Ryan all drove in a run in the big inning.

But the game was far from over. After Carver built a 9-0. Sturgis West came firing back with 10 unanswered runs, highlighted by a towering homerun over the left field fence by J. Hereford.

Carver turned to Bobby Rooney on the mound in the 7th to keep it a one run game and he did exactly that.

Bottom of the 7th, after two errors, Zakrzewski smacks a line drive single to bring in Finn Manning, tying the game up.

Derek Lopes steps to the plate, Rooney and Zakrzewski pull of a double steal, putting runners at second and third. Lopes seizes the moment and delivers a line drive single to drive home Rooney for the dramatic walk-off victory.

Bobby Rooney gets the win.

Lopes and Dirado both went 2 for 4 and drove in a combined 5 runs.

The Crusaders next take the field on Tuesday when they travel to Hull!!

Carver Boys battled hard today in a 6-5 loss to Cohasset. Carver was down 6-2 after 4 innings and fought hard to come back but fell one run short. Levon Mulready and Teagan Zakrzewski picked up their first Varsity hits. Junior Captain Nate Dirado had two hits and an RBI and Junior Captain Derek Lopes went 2-2 with 2 walks and an RBI, including a deep triple to right field. Joey Mannix and Bob Alpert pitched well for Carver in the freezing cold.

Carver has their home opener this Friday at 4pm vs Sturgis West.
