Our first course is almost ready! Here is a run down of the progress we have made.

TL:DR I am looking for beta testers, PM me for more info!

Workbook- The workbook will be 22 pages long. Everything is in black and white (to save money on printing) and I will provide detailed instructions on how to print it out as a booklet to save even more ink and paper (and money).
I have a few things to finish up on the workbook, but even more exciting, I am working with my amazingly talented friend to add some killer illustrations to the workbook! I can't wait to share it all!

Lessons- Lessons will be videos of me talking. Not super exciting, but we have ideas for cooler options down the line. The "rough draft" of the video lessons have been recorded. This part made me the most nervous so I kept putting it off until I finally just grabbed my phone and recorded some stuff. It wasn't amazing, but it got me past the fear of recording myself talking! Who knows, maybe I'll even share the bloopers on the Facebook Group/membership site 😁

Facebook Group- I have so many excited ideas for a membership site! But for now, I think I will work on building up a Facebook Group. The group will be private and only available to those that have access to the courses and/or membership site.

Beta testers- Before I release our first course into the wild (or to the public), I am looking for a few kids, teens, and adults that would be interested in testing out the course. If you are interested in helping fine tune this amazing course, send me a PM for more info!

Welcome to the Herd!

I am super excited you are here!

My name is Tina and I am a homeschooling mama to a horse-obsessed teenager.

At the age of four Emma met her first horse and she has been passionately in love with them ever since. Around that same time we decided we would be homeschooling. Emma's love of horses made the early years of homeschooling super easy. Put horse books, horse activities, horse movies, horse games, and of course, HORSES, in front of her and she was happy to learn history, geography, science, math, and language arts. Over the years I've made worksheets, found lap books and unit studies, and pieced together projects and activities.

While that worked for a while, I was longing for more "structure" with her learning. I wanted her to be able to learn more about the world around her through her beloved horses, but I didn't want to have to continually create everything from scratch.

What I really wanted was a secular-based, gender-neutral curriculum that is all about horses. Something horse centered that we could use for even just one subject for an entire school year.

Emma is now in 8th grade. We haven't found what we are looking for, so we are going to create it! We would love for you to join us on our quest to have fun, horsing around in history!
