Salty Sea Child
Meet Tw***ie, otherwise known as the Salty Sea Child.
This 1967 fully-renovated airstream is the perfect photo backdrop, wedding rental (what Florida Beach Bride doesn't want a place to keep cool with her besties while waiting to walk down the sandy aisle
Velvet on one side, satin on the other. With invisible zippers so I can remove the cases if needed. I'm pretty proud of myself on how these came out

It's been awhile.... but done progress is being made. Cabinets will all be painted by next week.... now I just need to get this back bed built in
this weather is crazy! tornado and hail warnings all afternoon
Let me tell you a story....
I've been struggling to find the mental power to get the last polish in on this baby....I know how much effort it takes and I'm feeling tired this week. But today I forced myself...I get all covered up, head to toe, ear plugs, hair scarf, protective goggles, you know, the works. As I start polishing the head flings off the buffer, the glue came off the pad. 20 minutes later I've found another buffer and got that set up... as I start again, the reason cover over the airstream rips all the way down the center and starts flapping all over.....I guess the sun just did its thing on it and it picked that moment to give out. So as I'm taking all the toggles off that hold it up there, standing on the top of the ladder, that dang little frog jumps at my face......
I'm done guys, today's not the day. It's obviously not meant to happen. I'm going to take a long bubble bath and have a glass of wine. Later I'll be ordering a new cover on Amazon, in bed, eating cookies..... some days you just gotta call it
Have the Salty Sea Child a good wash down after work today. Took me almost 2 hours to get all that black residue off.... and I already already washed her once before after the last polish. Prepping for what I hope is the last polish day tomorrow..... I'm tired already just thinking about it. This was a big project too take on solo....
Getting CREATIVE..... I've been trying to figure out how to deal with the old vent opening that no one seems to sell a cover for. For now I'm stashing the wires we pre-ran for future solar panels in there all coiled up. Made decent progress on this today.... let's see how far I get tomorrow. Also, I'm curious if any of you found a good solution to this opening. Please share if you did
I left my trunk open so you could see my Han ❤️

PSA..... tomorrow's gonna be ROUGH!
Pour me an extra cuppa joe!
Progress has been slow lately, but sometimes it's these small details that make all the difference. I looked for over a year for just the right trim for this bathroom counter. What do you think?
Be sweet like a pineapple..... or like this shower curtain I just made! OK, figuring out the solution to this puzzle was NOT EASY! I found a curved, lightweight shower bar that with some creative thinking was almost perfect. I layered lift blue plastic liner with this black and white pineapple print fabric.
Why are there so many songs about rainbows?
Because they are GORGEOUS! I'm obsessing over the light my new reflective film is throwing, and check out this sweet bubble mat I found for the bathtub floor.

Oh Baby! It's really starting to come together. Should have the cushions back this week. Wait till you see the amazing bed this turns into.
Oh hey! Just adding a little ALPHA ALOHA vibes over here. No, these aren't my curtains, I went really simple with just white on those. These are insulation panels that snap over the windows to keep the cold or heat in, depending on the weather. I lined some reflectix with this gorgeous tropical fabric from gifted to me by my bestie ❤️
She's like a rainbow! I installed some privacy film on some of the windows today.... kind of obsessed with the amount of rainbows 🌈 it's throwing Aaron's in here...

Some days are harder than others....
Baby got Back..... couch BACK that is...
We're moving and shaking over here!
Reflections of us.... we've poured so much of ourselves into this project (mom too! She's just not in this picture). Now Mom & Dad are on to new adventures and I'm gonna be doing a ton of FaceTime to get this baby on the road at last

My absolutely stunning, to-die-for green velvet arrived this week. From the day I brought this baby home I knew I wanted a green velvet show piece wrapping around the front.....3 years later that vision is about to come true.

Making MOVES today!
This is my Mom.... she's so often in the background, she knows where every single part and piece we've removed from this airstream is stored, she has an engineers mind and comes up with the best solutions for creative problem fixes, she cleans up tirelessly after my dad and I (we are walking tornados) as we put this airstream back together one part at a time. Every crew needs Rockstar like my mom ❤
