I help executive- level women harmonize their life + work by sharing self-care, mental health, and w
I remember when I used to feel guilty to go on vacation or take time off of work because I was the only one who can get s*** done.
This chronic stress led to poor mental and physical health, sleeping problems, back pain, and even getting complaints from my customers.
The first step that led me out of this hell hole was through Process Discovery and figuring out the step-by-step process of what I needed to get done so I can ask someone else to help me. I then followed the TRAIN Frameworkβ’, which I talk about a few posts back and on a FREE worksheet which you can find here: kat.gold/ebookwaitinglist
When you invest in some extra help, you'll notice an instant relief in your workload, and have more control over your life and how you spend your time.
I went through the TRAIN Framekwork β’ to help me get to get towards the path of a healthy work and life harmony and I'd like to share that framework with you so you can start heading towards that same path..

From the bottom of my heat, your support means the world to me. I don't know where I would be without you all. In case you haven't heard, I launched an ebook on Delegation for women who manage double-digit teams.
For years I struggled with finding work life harmony, but delegation saved me. I don't want anyone to go through what I did, and that's why I felt the need to spread the word about the delegation.

Had a great time at the Afrotech Executive Conference last month!
One cool thing I learned from one of the speakers PheOnix RuachShaddai is that we're already in the Metaverse in a sense - many of us gather together and are mentally tuned into something we can't see but can feel via energy.
Examples of this is when you're praying together at church, or you're at a wellness retreat with other like minded individuals. The Metaverse is simply a digital extension of that. Know this is helping me to see what the Metaverse already is, and what is has the capacity to be.
I also learned about exciting new platforms like Calaxy - it's literally a galaxy for creatives and has so many cool capabilities to allow creators even more opportunities & economic control over their work.
Attending tech conferences are super important to me. We are using tech all day every day - so why not try and understand it better and actually meet the people creating and coding the tech we use all the time?
Learning how to delegate starts with investing in software to make your life easier.
If you've tried one of these platforms but find the interface is difficult to use to even ugly - try another!
Just google "software like Asana" to see your options. Just remember - there may be something like Asana, but there is no true replacement (lol) π

Are you synched with your moon (menstral) cycle? π
1st Phase: Menstruation: While you have your period, be gentle. This isn't your most productive stage. In fact, Berrion L. Berry suggests taking that time to rest, reflect, and ground oneself. It probably isn't a good idea to try to launch a new idea, product or service during this phase.
2nd Phase: Follicular: Once the bleeding stops, the follicular phase begins. Estrogen begins to rise and you start to get more energy. Plan the month ahead at this stage! You will be ready for strategic thinking, goal-setting, launching a new program, and getting s*** done. π―
β¨ Focus β¨ is your super power.
3rd Phase: Ovulation: Estrogen and testosterone levels spike and we are filled with energy! This is also a great time to pithc a new idea, ask for a raise, or do tasks that normally feel draining. During this phase you feel most confident so use it to your advantage!
4th Phase: Luteal: Your energy will slow down to prepare for your cycle. Work less if possible, and listen inward. Look back at the goals you set in the follicular phase and course correct. Your attention to detail is really high during this phase so do chores around the house and organize your space.
Make note on your phone calendar about your π cycle phases for optimal productivity throughout the month. The purpose is to hack our own cycle and use our cycle as a gift π

My type of self-care involves a bath, pink, and lots of glitter. π On a more serious note though, I didn't always practice self-care and that caught up to me quick.

Before delegating, ensure you're in a quality state of being.π That means that you choose to come from a place that is calm, collective, and love in the present moment.
When you're able to think with fact or reality you are able to make more logical decisions that are best for you, your employee, and the business which then builds mutual trust.
Building a work culture of mutual trust is a top trait of leaders, and that can't happen if you're coming from a place of anger and nonsense.

Managing your energy is is key to achieving a happier work life balance, so it really should be a priority in your self-care routine.
Energy can be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual and each should be learned to understand what fuels your energy.
For example, I take care of my spiritual energy by treating myself to a spa day or doing something I love and makes my soul feel relaxed. π§πΎββοΈ
Once you figure out what fuels your energy, you'll see the benefits almost immediately!
"Letting go is not only for you, it's for others too.
When you let go as a Manager, and let your employees do what they do best, this is when their motivation and loyalty goes up.
While it's good to give empoyees space, it's also important to check in.
We're very familiar with checking in places.
We check in at airports and restaurants so that they know we're present and ready.
We check in with loved ones so that we know how each other is doing.
So, it's super important that you check in on your team and the tasks they're working on to make sure everything is running smooth, and they they have all the resources they need to succeed.
I'm on a mission to guide executive women who want to become more effective leaders, and I created an ebook to get you started!

We can all recall having a Manager that micromanaged us.
These are the people that suggest unrealistic deadlines, ask for frequent updates (and except detailed reports), or maybe they just like to hover when you're on a sales call.
Basically every move and task you make is being watched.
NO ONE LIKES MANAGERS THAT MICROMANAGES. PERIOD!
The one that that micomanagers tend to NOT do? Delegate effectively!
Last week I mentioned that CEOs who excel in delegating generate 33% higher revenue, so why don't they all take it upon them? Well, it's easier said then done.
But with practice, and determination to be an effective leader, we can all learn to become better leaders through delegation.
Delegation has changed my life as a leader and I believe it can change yours too! That's why I created an ebook just for executive women who are on a mission to become better leaders.

Not only that, but it is a great stress management tool for Managers who regularly have to assign tasks to others.
I regularly manage my stress by asking for help and delegating tasks - my stress is always thrown into overdrive when I try to do entirely too much on my own. As soon as I know that I have someone dependable, skillful and available (key!) to delegate to, my stress levels plummet.
In a world where we are encouraged to take on all the tasks - DON'T! The better you become at assigning the right people to the right tasks, the more effective you'll become as a leader.

Life is meant to be enjoyed and that all starts with enjoying taking care of your well-being for at least 60 minutes a day in these eight areas:
1) Emotional - journaling or therapy!
2) Environmental - going for a walk!
3) Financial - get your finances on track with a plan π΅
4) Intellectual - podcasts, books, learning new skills!
5) Occupational - make sure you aren't miserable as you're working every day
6) Physical - eating healthy, sleeping well, taking care of your body π€
7) Social - keep in touch with family and friends
8) Spiritual - meditate, reflect, pray!
If these eight dimensions are kept in balance, your wellness levels will be higher.

We all experience failure.
If you're brave, take risks, and try new things... you're bound to experience failure at some point. It's crappy, but it's true.
The key is NOT escaping the emotional discomfort that comes from failing and instead, actively think about the emotions you're experiencing.
As you're thinking about those emotions, label the exact emotions you're feeling like "I'm disappointed" or "I'm pi**ed"
Learning healthy skills to process your failures can help take away some of the fear and pain and build your resiliance to challenging and unavoidable life experiences. You got this girl!

πΆπ½ββοΈ Physical Energy means that it's important to move our body around. Walking, yoga, stretching, exercising , etc. It's not just good for your long-term health, it's good on the daily as a break period!
π§ Mental Energy is work that requires critical thinking and cognitive abilities. All of us have certain tasks that are draining or uplifting.
π Emotional Energy comes from connections with others and usually brings about positive emotions. But there are also negative emotions such as fear and anger that can drain your energy.
β¨ Spiritual Energy shows up when we do something that lights us up. This can come from working on your hobbies, getting a compliment, or just doing something you love.
Now that you're aware of these energy types, you can learn to recognize when it's time for a break and take care of your energy.
We all get stressed, but cumulative stress, which can lead to burnout, is avoidable! Taking action before you are feeling stress is the best way to get ahead of stress.
Dr. Nadine Collins, spiritual wellness coach, speaker, and author, shares how she plans her next day on the night before to eliminate the feeling of forgeting to do something.
βOne tip that helps me is to plan my next day the evening before. Before bed, I close my eyes and visualize what I want my next day to be. I then write out a complete list of all the things I need to accomplish. The next day, I wake up open to any new ideas that I need to do that day.""
