Something about a Girl...
Mating Season always excites me. Their behaviors fascinate me. Young lady with two males on her tail. The younger male kept his distance from both but continued following. He took a few moments to worship her scent on the ground before sniffing the air. You could see him trying to decide if following was worth it. He followed them into the fields out of sight. Later in the evening I saw all three before sunset. Walking down the road. Female was at the beginning of the line a good distance away from both males. They were right behind her though. At one point the older male turned to focus in on the younger one. The younger male retreated. Of course he did that male was HUGE! . 😎

Throwback to a couple of years ago. I love how I can recall the way I felt when I revisit past photos. We can't turn back time but we can repeat how we felt with a capture of a photo.

He wanted to be more poplar. 🤣

Scent marking the territory. Best way to describe their scent is "wet dog" during mating season. It really isn't bad or even unpleasant. Just a little musky. Some would think bears reek but they are actually pretty clean.
