The safety of our children, teachers and administrators is of utmost importance. I commend the district leaders for their prompt and concise information regarding the COVID-19 crisis and how they intend to handle it locally. I feel that the districts communication chain involving email documents and text message alerts is awesome and assures that I get all the latest information. I do believe there will be more changes to come from the district as we progress through the pandemic and that we will all need to be flexible in our expectations of them. This is new territory for us all!

While attending the Chamber Luncheon today, I was lucky enough to hear about the Real World Experiences that these high school students are getting through a number of different workplace opportunities. The district has an amazing goal of providing market value assets to every graduating senior by 2027 (and hopefully sooner). Market value assets help the students fine tune their career paths prior to graduation as well as make them more valuable in the workplace. Congrats Kearney School District... you are accomplishing great things!

The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow and the quality of today’s education will be a direct correlation to their future success. Obtaining success is one challenge and maintaining it is another. Kearney will undoubtedly experience growth in the coming years. With advanced planning, our facilities will be prepared to accommodate this growth without disrupting the quality of the teaching within the classrooms. Technology is a rapidly changing and progressive area of childhood education. We must maintain an open mind when employing technology in the classroom while assuring that the technology never takes the place of a kind, compassionate and motivating teacher. There is no doubt that Kearney has an excellent educational and athletic track record. With three young children participating in the Kearney school system, I want to be part of the process that guarantees a quality, fair and all inclusive eductional opportunity for generations to come. I would greatly appreciate your vote and support!

I am formally announcing my run for Kearney School Board. As a proud father of three young children the health of our public school district is of utmost importance. I am proud to call Kearney my home and own two businesses here. The school district was a huge factor in my decision to join this growing community. The track record of Kearney schools is amazing and I want to be part of the process that keeps it there! The district is currently undergoing change in many ways and it will take a strong, involved and confident board to keep us going in the right direction.
