Still wet as I've just poured it but this is my latest acrylic pour. I will post pics when it's dry and coated and see about putting it up for sale.

So excited that my new acrylic pour paints have arrived so this weekend I'm looking forward to getting started. Some beautiful colours. I can't wait to see the results. Art that with a little help creates itself. Some really beautiful results can be achieved. I am just waiting on the silicone oil which helps in the creation of gorgeous coloured cells in the piece so hopefully that will be with me by then.

Last night I mastered the art of re- coating pyramids by putting it back in the mold. It takes a lot of heat but I poured resin into and over the entire mold, leaving a pool of resin in the bottom, then I re coated the pyramid itself and popped it back in while making sure the resin had reached all areas and covered the top. I was over the moon to get it out and see a lovely finish with all of the chips and holes filled in. This big one had firstly come out of the mold looking rubbish with holes and was really matt rather than glossy. It was a joy to see the difference this morning.
The little one next to it is a commission that is being recoated too, so I decided to do a big one at the same time as making the commision Love these chakra colours together.

So second coating this beast took some doing but its come out well. I'm happy with the final result. A commission for my aunty.

My latest pyramid. Straight out of the mold so still needs work but will be for sale once ready. Gold sand mixed with gold leaf in the tip and the wrapped quartz is in the bottom of this one. Turquoise, elite shunghite and shunghite powder as well as gold leaf and a copper triskelion are in this one. I like the solid top look.

This is the finished result on the herb grinder. Like I say future ones will have plain tips to make sure I get nice points on them but I love this first try. # # #

Ah there we are. I thought I couldn't post pics on here anymore but it was my mistake. I'm happy to say the second coat worked well on this side. The trick will be to do all sides without it running into itself. # # #

Coming soon, orgonite herb grinders. This is my first go. The bottom of this one will be gold leaf and shunghite. In future the little tips will be poured first to ensure I get proper points on the grinding teeth but I love this silver and turquoise, so showing as an example. I will do these to order with with whatever design whether orgonite or otherwise.

Working on a second coat on one of my pieces. Its a hell of a job as it runs down the sides and so much as a speck of dust ruins the effect. So this morning its been sand down previous attempt that looked bumpy, hoover everything then plastic sheeting inside the wooden crate to try to cut down dust plus a going over with the torch to get any air bubbles out. I've just checked it and all looks well so heres to success and getting a nice finish.
While there is plenty of info on how to make pyramids. Info on how to second coat is proving difficult to find so im having to wing it. The only info I could find said they put theirs back in the mold with the second coat. I didnt find that a good method at all. Maybe intense heat is needed to get it to set without pooling in the point of the mold.
