It's not religion that can save us. It's only through the Lord Jesus Christ--there's no other way.
But if we say that we believe in Jesus but we do not do His teachings, what is the difference between us and the devil? He also knows Jesus is real.
So having a head knowledge of Jesus' existence is not enough.
We must experience Jesus by surrendering our all to Him and following His teachings. The more we know Him by reading His Word, the more we learn about Him. The more we know His character and what pleases Him. When we apply His teachings and strive to please Him through obedience, it transforms us to be more like Him. That's when He becomes truly the Lord and Master of our life.
