Happy International Women’s Day from the HRC team! Today is an opportunity to recognise the contributions of all women working in the construction industry on sites and in head offices. This year's theme for IWD is "DigitALL: innovation and technology for gender equality". We reflected on the fact that only 14% of the global women’s workforce is in this industry, while 44% of these women are in professional or management roles, it is only 13% of women that own construction firms around the world.
Women’s skills and contributions in this industry are much needed, particularly as we move into an era of innovation and technology in the industry. So, as we celebrate and recognise the women in the industry today, we must also work to make even further progress in supporting women already in and those that might aspire to getting into the industry.

This afternoon, the Ambassador to FIDIC and Vice Chairman of CCON Committee, Mr. Oliver Wee had a meeting with Mr. Mohamed Ali Janah, IFAWPCA President, and IFAWPCA Secretariat led by Mr. Levy Espiritu, Executive Director, and Mr. Barry Paulino, Chief-of-Staff and discussed the future seminars, training, and forums of IFAWPCA.
