The Desperadeaux crew wasn't able to attend the Bayou Teche Wooden Boat Festival since Captain Mark had us washing her down and painting the bottom for the last few weekends. Looks like we missed a good time! Check out the photos on their website.

techeboatshow.com We had 28 boats total, that’s 14 over last year’s entries, so we are growing and we’re having more fun than ever. Our participants this year came from Alabama, Mississippi and of course Louisiana, with all manner of boats from pirogues to cruisers and campers.

The Gauthier clan is heading to Lizard Creek this morning to bottom paint the Desperadeaux while she's up on the hard. The props are going to Florida to be checked out tomorrow and we hope to be back in the water by the end of the week. The extra coat of paint on the hull has made her shiny!!!
