Apparently there are new gurus trying to claim you can open up your own debt collection agency and buy your own debt, then settle the debt through suing your own debt collection agency. This is extremely false.
1. These debt portfolios have tens of thousands of accounts.
2. The purchasing agreement typically does not allow you to sell the debt to just any debt collection agency. The agency must go through a verification process from the original creditor. This is done because if an unethical agency gets a hold of a debt, the repercussions can fall back on the original creditor and at times, others on the chain of title.
3. And when a debt collection agency is ready to sell a portfolio, you cannot call and hand pick certain accounts. The accounts are already packaged in a particular portfolio. And buyers are already pre vetted.
4. There are a lot of other ways to settle debts.

This is just half of the board. And this was a small office, all in one day. Now means the payment cleared. Those that have a “debt” stand in between the collector and a pay check. I haven’t done my zoom call yet, but I will be holding one soon. Stay tuned, I’m going to cover every aspect of this industry. And there’s nothing I don’t know about it.

Next time your speaking with a debt collector, this is what they look like. Even though they want you to envision an intimidating attorney who has some type of “control” over your financial future, the truth is, it’s just someone in a cubicle, with a phone, trying to make a commission off of your ignorance.
